Belgium has declared lootboxes as gambling and now EA is in hot water...and soon maybe they'll have an eye on Destiny with how their micro transactions are handled.
EDIT: Before posting a comment stating they're not the same or how it won't affect Destiny,PLEASE understand BF2 & Overwatch are being targeted BECAUSE they have RNG lootboxes and Destiny has it as well. I don't need to point out the obvious!

4 RepliesI thought destiny’s micro transactions were purely cosmetic?

2 Replieshttp://www.pcgamer.com/uk-gambling-commission-restates-that-loot-boxes-are-not-gambling/ Uk says otherwise.

2 RepliesI mean I get that it is gambling but other people have brought up a good point. Buying card packs at your local store is also gambling since it is the same set of rules. You have no idea what cards you're gonna get when you buy same as loot boxes. Idk. The whole practice is dumb I'll give you that, but something is gonna have to change to get rid of these greedy micro transactions. I'm not against MT, but they are getting out of hand.

Oh god it's another one you people jerking off Yong

Destiny
Again, I said this before Both situations are not the same You want them to be the same But they’re not. Stop comparing EA literally killing itself to Bungie selling you paint, you look like a moron.

1 ReplyI watched the news briefing and overwatch wasn't mention at all.

I’m fine with Overwatch, because I’m rewarded a loot box for leveling up. I don’t have to buy any loot boxes to get what I want. I do think there could still be a better system, say you could the skins you want for a certain amount of money, or buy the loot box and get more items, while not being guaranteed what you want.

3 RepliesFirst that doesn’t mean sheit as it’s one country. Secondly EA will take this to the EURO court system to fight this so it may yet still fall through as gambling, which it isn’t anyways. Thirdly, the US and Australia have done they’re own investigation and have deemed them not to be a form of gambling so settle down on the victory parade

1 ReplyEdited by PC Master Race: 11/22/2017 8:18:43 AMBut destiny 2 did micro transactions much better than EA. I get 2-3 bright engrams a day just from XP, and it's all cosmetic

3 RepliesEdited by Crow: 11/22/2017 6:47:18 AMCorrection... They called >>>EA<<< Lootboxes gambling... now tell me what this has to do with Destiny 2 ? If you think that any and all lootboxes are concerned you would be wrong... the issue is how EA's work and how they handled microtransactions, otherwise countless games would be in deep water... could you at least fact check stuff befor you jump headfirst down ? So why post EA news and relate to Destiny 2 ? note: not to scare you but the act of "Defamation" is actually against the law and if Bungie ever saw you as a "real" threat they have the right to point out such a thing... many (not all) countries have a 5 year sentence for such but of course those sentenced are far far faaaar worse than what you are but i felt like letting you know. ;)
