How long did it take you to realise Destiny 2 is garbage?
Most vets took 2 weeks and the new guys maybe 4.

2 weeks seems about right.. I wanted to give the game a chance I really did. But it became apparant very soon that it lacks the heart and soul of Destiny. I just play Destiny 1 now.

1 week . I instantly knew it wasn't a destiny 1.5 but rather a destiny 0.5

Two weeks, once I hit end game it pretty much died. Not having armour/weapon rolls has killed this game np point at all of playing after hitting max light unless you want tokens zzzzzz It's a loot game with no loot.

Garbage is an exaggeration. Lacking would be a better word. Me? Took about an hour or 2 to realise the campaign was lacking and about the same to realise I didnt like he "balance changes" like reduced movement speed, reduced sticky damage (I'm a titan, rip mag grenades) and I didnt like the new weapon systems, a few days to realise The grind was a bad one...beat the campaign, do public events, crucible matches (I'd known this was bad since the beta...) and a meh nightfall (in terms of difficulty....though it took me a week or 2 to realise this as the nightfall was rough at 260 light). The raid, IB and faction rallies, all took a second to realise I didnt enjoy doing something difficult or boring just to recieve tokens that I would hand in (though I'm a fan of tokens for planitary peeps....not sure why we dont just have regular experience though).....and the prestige raid.... I'm not sure whether it was when I finished the baths and got tokens or when I got to calus. But until the day we get a ship and sparrow from the raid I dont think its even worth it just for the cosmetics.... I mean, I'll still do it (least once) because that armour looks sexy AF, and I dont regret running it once both because of the emblem, the pictures and the ornament, but also because of the feeling I got from beating that big *insert swear word*

After like 4 or 5 raids and getting dick all for loot. There's no reason to play daily for me, plus I have the loadout I've wanted from the beginning and I'm 305 so I don't really care anymore

I was excited but when i first played the beta on pc i felt the game was super slow-paced as a rpg shooter, pvp sucks as a 4v4 I understand the concept they were going for but as a whole 4v4 needs to be a game mode and pvp needs to be more rewarding as an event if they are going to keep the token system. Also as a casual player that only plays weekends some of the events like Iron Banner and faction rallies don't seem to even be worth trying considering the grind of tokens and reward system of random engrams that don't shell out event specific rewards. - Lost sectors should be more like a strike with worthwhile rewards -PvP needs more game modes -Reward system for Iron banner needs to be fixed by purchasable gear with tokens -ability cooldowns need to be adjusted with lower cooldowns, this would probably help with class-specific playstyles in the game and give importance to having a variety in the fireteam. -Hunter needs blink -weapon reforging should be brought back -duplicate exotic engrams suck- please fix -nightfall should drop bright dust -strike specific gear -nobody uses pulse rifles except for the vigilance wing because pulse in general suck, sidearms dont really have a place in PvE, and handcannons should have a better aim assist, only hand cannon where there is noticeable aim assist is the annual skate, its a pleasure to use but easily overlooked when compared to the versatility of better devils in PvE, ( I mean think about it if the fire rate is 120, the impact is high but the clip is generally 8-13 with most of them being slow as hell to reload why would people use them) not like you can 1 shot in pvp with them. -after 3 weekends in kinda disappointed but hopeful

When I got the light back in the "Story" , it began creeping up to me.. but after I wacked that big mole in space marine W40K suit in the head and hit "END game".. I was pretty much convinced that i made the same mistake twice and swallowed Bungies d*ck again.. . But i have great friends that i play D1/D2 with (or at least used to play with, I guess most will be back for 5th Dec) so i strutted along now for some time.. in lack of something else to play. After yesterdays raid (that bugged for us on more than one occasion), I'll have a break now.. I downloaded Titanfall 2 and the DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn..

1 ReplyYou are right on with what you said. I poured nearly 2000hrs into D1 and gave up on D2 after 2 weeks. There just wasn't enough new content or end-game content. To me, it was just a glorified DLC that removed a lot of what made D1 so enjoyable. Given how much I invested into D1, I am truly hoping that the DLCs will improve things. We all know D1 had a pretty rocky start, so I'm not 100% giving up on D2.

I realized how terrible this game was after the first few days. With that being said, D1 wasn’t great when it first came out either. The game will get better as we move forward. The better question is how they got us to pay full price for what amounts to a content patch. #cashgrab

I still have hopes...but like d1 i wont get back to it until the final dlc and thanks to the clan thing ill have tons of loot to go over. All the while ill be playing bf1 rainbow 6 maybe pubg and obviously superhot bc why not?
