does anyone regret buying the DLC with the game?

before its release I was happy to pay 80 pound for the game and DLC thinking this would be the only game i buy until newyear. boy was i wrong i was ahardcore d1 player and last week bought assassins creed origins and haven't looked back since what a game! I am so disappointed I wasted the money thinking this was going to take off where d1 ended... Anyone else feel disappointed? will you go back to try the dlc? or have you given up completely?

  • No because I know D2 will get better. I was a day 1 vanilla destiny player, and look how much D1 grew. Vanilla D2 is already receiving a steady flow of fixes, updates, and patches. The game lacks end game, but it hasn’t even received any dlcs. On top of that it has the ability to make smaller changes to the game, guns, etc., without damaging the game like in D2.

Not sure, have to play them before I can provide a definite answer. In term of money though, if the DLCs are good (The Taken King and Rise of Iron level of good or better) then I'll say that it was worth the money to get the Expansion Pass, if not then lesson learned.

  • LMAO.... I never preorder anything from any dev, certainly not years in advance before the content is even discussed. that shit is madness to me.

  • Nope. Regrets are irrelevant. Bungie hosed people (legacy players) when Rise of Iron was released... Bungie will do what they want with this game, that is proven. You either pony up the loot to play in their loot based sandbox or you dont... $100 is what it is but $500 spent upgrading to xbox1 was more and complaining was met with very little to no sympathy from the guardian community. U pay to play. End of story. Now, guardians can raise hell all they can... money is spent. Hardcores complain, seriously if your $$ hasn't been spent wisely... it certainly is time for Bungie to Man up and listen to their fans. We Have paid our tribute. I will play on.👍

  • Glad I got the standard edition. I'll probably get the dlc, it's only $20 and I'm sure it will occupy me for at least a week.

  • I learned my lesson after the first game. Crota's end was fun but the expansion was so small

  • Let me know when they drop a dlc that actually tells us what the Traveller is.. two games and it's still just a big white beach ball in the sky

  • Nope. But I knew end game would be meh at launch with crappy end game- every September it’s the same story... Sept 2014 Community: OMG DESTINY BEST GAME EVER! (Minus shitty story) Two weeks later Community: OMG DESTINY WORSE GAME EVER! Sept 2015 Community: OMG TTK FIXED EVERYTHING, DESTINY BEST GAME EVER! FOR REAL THIS TIME!!! Four weeks later Community: OMG NO END GAME! ONLY 1 RAID TO HIT LEVEL CAP! DESTINY WORSE GAME EVER!!! Sept 2016 Community: Eh, this is fine Two weeks later Community: this is actually not bad... (This was kind of a lul phase as the game was now 2 years old and it was mainly hardcore players or casuals off & on until the d2 launch) Sept 2017 Community: OMG DESTINY 2! BEST GAME EEEVVVEEERRR!!! SO MUCH STORY 😍 Two weeks later Community: DESTINY 2 WORSE GAME EEEVVVEEERRR!!! NO END GAME! WHY DID I FALL FOR THIS, AGAIN!!!!!! Honestly, the dlc is probably going to make this game way better, but probably not until the spring update, cause since the launch of destiny 3 years ago, the spring update has always been the Best time to come back

      • Unfortunately one of the downsides to this game is that its ever-evolving and you won't get the same experience twice. If you want to play in the slightest then you might as well buy and play the content as it drops instead of waiting for a cheaper price in the future.

Not really. As much as the game pisses me off at the moment, I enjoyed the first month of it, and felt satisfied with the purchase. My only regret is expecting a decent raid. This one is just..... wow......
