Why is AC a thing for Vostok?
CB and AB are both equally better than AC.
If you try to control AC on that map, you give up B and the other team will be constantly flipping A or C to their advantage. Just bad strategy the way that map is.
CB is the easiest one to defend both just because of how clean the run is between both points.
And CB is definitely preferable on Altar of Flame. There are clean sightlines to take out people coming for B from A. No such sightlines, until people are on top of B, from C.

That sounds good in writing, but in practice it's different. And while I can say that Vostok can be more preferential, I have to disagree with Alter of Flame. There, it seems, that the A side team is almost always able to better control B zone. While C has open lines, as you get closer to B, it has a big wall around it, which makes protecting it a little tougher than protecting A, which is more open. And you can start shooting any enemies that try to take A, from pretty far away. You don't have to get all the way back there, and around a wall, before you can try to get them off of it. And then you'll still be in close proximity to B, in case they try to grab it, where from A side, you also have more cover to shoot from, and there's not a huge stone pillar right next to B, blocking your sight to B, like there is on C side. Also, whenever I play with clanmates, when we get Alter of Flame, there's usually a collective sigh of relief, if we start on A, "Oh good, we got A side."
