We need a way to reclaim old ships and sparrows.
Well, I was a D1 players who preordered after Aug. 4th, so you can imagine my shock when I found out that my D1 character designs traveled over. However, after getting a new character to max level, I restarted my Hunter and Titan (the carryovers).
My remake of my Hunteress went smoothly, but something -blam!-ed up with my Titan. I had put in my legendary ships/sparrows, but when I got to the Vault at the Farm, no where to be seen. I'd transferred over my armor, weapons, ships and sparrows. I got my armor and weapons back, but the aforementioned vehicles were gone.
The vehicles that I carried about were "The Space-Age Lancelot" (with that bronze-black Eververse shader) and "Aeon Plume" sparrow (Iron Battalion shader). Both are gone. I lost 4 other legendary ships and 3 sparrows.

Yes i agree we need to be able to get deleted ships and sparrows back, and i understand peoples argument about the bright dust that they get, so why dont they make it so if you delete the ship/sparrow, you get the bright dust, and it costs just as much bright dust to buy it back from the kiosk. this will resolve the issue of people not being able to get their ships back while the other people can also get bright dust from deleting sparrows/ships.

You can buy stuff with it without relying on RNG (as long as it is offered). It‘s the reason why there are Emblems and Emote collections but not for ships, sparrows, ghosts or shaders. It‘s part of the grind and an incentive to keep playing even if you are maxed out etc. A kiosk would make that feature obsolete and since Bungie is going to change the contents of the Bright Emgramms, most of it will become unique once a new season starts.

17 RepliesIf you go to the vault, you will find a 'collections' tab. Exotic weapons, armor, emotes, emblems.... WHY they didnt put the dam ships and sparrows in there .. I DO NOT KNOW. Just one of many very bad game design changes.

Sparrows and Ships come with randomized perks which is one reason why they remain irretrievable items after dismantle. Personally, I hate that they do that, but my biggest gripe with sparrows are their inability to do tricks. Sparrows are boring now.

1 ReplyI'd say yes but they give you that dust when you dismantle it. So they would have to take that away. I remember people bitching that we didn't get anything for dismantling ships, and sparrows in destiny one. So this is what we have now.

3 RepliesI am not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to describe. Ships and sparrows are now part of the loot system. It is no longer unlock based. If you put it into the vault, it should still be in the vault. The only way an item should disappear is if you dismantle/destroy it. Your scenario doesn't exactly make sense.

What if first time you get the ship/sparrow you can dismantle for dust, after that you can collect any unlocks from a kiosk for free only after the current eververse season refreshes and these items are removed from the system.

4 RepliesWhat we need is to just bite the bullshit and get rid of the vault entirely, if this is a collection game, fine, getting a weapon to drop just unlocks it for use in a kiosk, same as with exotics. Effects all items in the game.

Sure. All the sparrow and ship designs are ugly. But since they don't do anything, it's really a point far down on the totem pole of issues

9 RepliesSparrows and ships now dismantle into silver dust. If there were a kiosk then we could have infinte dust and that would affect microtransactions so i doubt this will come back.

Who cares. One ships are just for game loading and do nothing. Two I have too many sparrows as it is. Three I would rather have the bright dust.
