Back to D1
I cannot believe that I bought a sequel which took me back to the original. When I bought Mass Effect and then got ME2, I didn't wanna play ME1 again. But this, this is insanity. How can a sequel be so bad that the previous is much better? The collective list of improvements D1 has over D2 is astounding.

7 RepliesAgree somewhat. While D2 has better graphics, D1 had a better story and gameplay. I like some of the improvements (glide control, weapons) but overall D2 comes up short. Too much emphasis on team play, too many Special Events, not enough different adventures. How many different color schemes do you need?

I would only go back to D1 to play 6v6 pvp, if I wanted to. Destiny 2 otherwise is far better.

I tried to go back, the UI in D2 is smaller and not in the face as much. I noticed it immediately.

I droppes D2 two weeks ago and found fortnite. As simple as fortnite is... Its more than D2, by a long shot, and its free.

Bungie made 'Halo', which made standard, theater mode, big team battles, energy weapons, vehicle hijacking, controllable air and land vehicles, space battles, community fileshares of maps and variants for private or public games, online four man campaigns, and forge. Activision brought standards like, customizable loadouts and subclass perks, realistic graphics, and weapon modifications. Both companies had stories millions remember generations later. "Soap..." "It's the demon"... Somehow, with those accomplishments in their history, people find a way to defend destiny. Destiny, 3 years of reskinning, reselling and nerfing of day 1 content. Thank you to those who boycotted this newest installment. I know its harder to take a stance than follow a crowd and i comend those of you who stood against this trash and demanded more by using your money to speak, the only language companies comprehend.

-still no theater mode? -still no forge? -fixed rolls on everything? lame, lame, lame... I knew it was less $ to get the deluxe d2 edition since I din't think they would actually make d2 worse in many ways than the final state of destiny but they proved me wrong, especially regarding pvp - just boring, not fun, still lacking TRUE dedicated servers in 2017 likely to drop this for a while and do ANYTHING else, see if an expansion brings back some fun

I agree. Made a new character for D1 and am having way more fun playing through the story I’ve played through a ton already. It’s actually sad

Destiny 2 is at least a decade and a half behind Destiny 1. Did the original Halo even have 4 on 4 PVP?

I just started it up. D1 has a hell of a lot more incentive then D2. I don't know how they thought D2 was a game to buy in 2017 in it's current state. Thanks to the higher ups this is what this game has become. A shell of it's former self.
