Bungie, today I completed the iron banner daily challenge knowing full well I would get a lovely 15 iron banner tokens, so I kept grinding so I had 25 tokens in my inventory thinking I would collect the 15 from saladin and could then get 2 engram regards for the day. Little did I know that upon returning to the tower that since reset occurred after I completed the challenges but before I got to the tower that saladin would reneg on his promise of both tokens and loot.
This is not cool at all. I worked hard for those tokens. They weren't in my postmaster. Saladin didn't have them. They're lost. Lost effort. Lost loot because of the token system and one unhappy guardian.
I know I'm not the only one. Happened to my friend too. Bungie could you please credit me with my lost tokens and at least warrant me some very delayed gratification for my efforts??

3 RepliesHello, Thank you for your report. I will be forwarding this to the appropriate team for investigation. For the time being, I recommend acquiring all daily rewards prior to reset, which occurs at 2 AM PDT. In November, this reset will change to 1 AM PDT due to the end of Daylight Saving Time. Additional information may be found within this Help Article: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46165

Why do we even need to visit saladin at all to collect our reward? It just seems like an added unnecessary step. Just award the 15 tokens at the time of completion. Hell my game crashes about 70% of the time when I go to the tower. The recent patch fixed this but it was after banner went live. So I had to fight the social space issue to not only start banner, but I also had to reboot the game several times to redeem my mileatone. This added step to talk to saladin is nonsense.

2 RepliesEdited by ADragonWithin: 10/11/2017 5:03:22 PMIf you win a ticket to a carnival that's only good the day you won it, then wait until the next day to go, do you expect the carnival to accept the expired ticket just because you won the ticket the day before? Sadly, all rewards tied to resets (weekly and daily) will be lost should you fail to collect them before the reset in which the rewards are reset. This happened in Destiny 1 and happens in Destiny 2. To avoid it, make sure to collect your reset-tied rewards prior to reset. That's all you can do. Bungie will not grant you freebies for unclaimed rewards.

3 RepliesI shouldn't laugh but hahahahaha. You paid the tax and now know better for next time. In the grand scheme of things, not that big a deal.

1 ReplyQuite frankly, I think this is a big problem. I hear all your replies, but you have until a reset to finish something, you should be able to cash in on the effort. I just had a discussion about this at work (not game related) but about how technology is removing the need to hold oneself accountable. This can translate. Bungie has so many systems in place that are in the interest of the player so that the player doesn't have to hold themselves accountable for the nit-picky aspects of the game. In many respects, it's the "quality of life" aspects of the game. Allowing a player to play a rewarding system until a reset time, then not allowing them to cash in on the reward after reset time defeats the purpose of allowing a player to play a rewarding system until reset time. Simple. At least give a set time of an hour or so to pick up the reward. Or why have a set time? Why not allow things to stack, surely it can't break the economy and who cares if stacking could help with player progression!? Deej said once somewhere that Bungie doesn't want to waste a players time, and I think he meant this in the sense of "quality of life improvements", or bugs, or what-have-you....how big of a waste of time is the game of Destiny when you spend the time to earn the reward, or you do something with the presented expectation of a specific reward or like in my previous post, a missing discount after a week of faction grinding, only to have them NOT given/work, etc. It can be an absolute turnoff to play the game. At some point people who experience these things either stop playing altogether or play becasue of the natural gambling/loot driven addiction that is so scientifically proven (and tested by Bungie themselves) but wholeheartedly dissatisfied with both the game and sadly the developer.
