Remember your First exotic and legendary from D1?
My first legendary was the Shadow Price, with some pretty bad perks. And my first exotic was Hawkmoon from the week 2 Nightfall!
Now in destiny 2 I have all exotics and only use 4 legendaries in total, and I have no memory on how I got any of them.
EDIT: After seeing all these posts it makes me miss all the variety in weapons in D1 that made them memorable, from the name of the gun all the way to how the gun looked and performed. I do hope that down the line D2 will gain this ability for its future weapons.

I still do, and it's still kind of funny. Good ol' SUROS Regime was my first Exotic weapon. And that was in the day when its Stability was 100% and Focused Fire dealt 44 to the head. A king of the Crucible, but honestly still had a run for its money from the big three Legendary Auto Rifles: Shadow Price, Grim Citizen III, and Vanquisher VIII. Ah, those days... I really hope it's brought back into Destiny 2. My first Legendary weapon is a bit faint in my mind. It was a Vanguard weapon for sure, though, and I'm pretty sure I got the two very close in time to each other. They were The Devil You Know Hand Cannon and The Swarm Machine Gun. TDYK was stuck on me while I ran around pushing back the Darkness, along with The Swarm. At that time, I remember I couldn't do crap with a Hand Cannon in the Crucible, so... out came the SUROS Regime. Edit: I actually remember my first Exotic Weapon that wasn't given through a quest or otherwise. It was the Vigilance Wing. The moment I got that I got a straight flashback to Year 1, when I went flawless to the Lighthouse. One time. Then I'm pretty sure it was Borealis. That Sniper Rifle is a nifty thing to use. Looking back at all this? I think I'll go back one day and kill Skolas again...

I very fondly remember get my first gally dropped out of a legendary heavy engram from a strike and getting Suros dropped straight out of the Psion flares vanguard strike.

First legendary: up for anything, while autos still were op. First exótic: either monte from the vog Chest, or the bad Juju from exótic Bounty

First exotic: Thunderlord First legendary: B-Line Trauma (still my favorite gun of all time) with luck in the chamber and firefly.. I kept it throughout the entirety of Destiny.

Vanquisher with glass half full... P&T was my first exotic but, nothing beats joy of getting thunderlord from a legendary engram from a patrol mission.

2 RepliesI can’t remember the name of it but it was the yr one fwc legendary pulse rifle. I got pre patch suros from a crucible match, kind of embarrassed to admit this but that was one of happiest days of my life.

I remember grinding out that quest so hard when I got it. How badly I struggled getting the void kills in crucible, how much a pain that damn wizard was. But then, I got it, and it was all worth it. That beautifully disgusting looking handcannon was my pride and joy. I would not put that thing down not even in the raid when everyone told me to use my Gjallarhorn. It felt so rewarding for me getting an exotic I had to work my ass off for days to get.

2 RepliesLegendary was a Shadow a Price. Bought it from the Vanguard Quartermaster. First Exotic ( Weapon ) was The Last Word. Bought it from Xur the first time he sold it. First Exotic ( Armour ) was Sunbreakers. Bought from Xur in week 2 because who in their right mind would buy an Exotic Rocket Launcher over a piece of Exotic Armour 😏

It was cool having less common guns like even Hung Jury became once it was dropped from the vendor and faction drops. Now nothing feels unique cuz everyone has everything... It would have been cool if everyone got to carry over a single gun from D1 (Cayde still has Ace of Spades) and let you infuse to raise the light. THAT would have been a good reward for longtime players even if it did make for a huge database of potential weapons. Can't think of any weapons in D2 that I really care for all that much. Especially the kinetic weapons. Energy weapons are cooler and look better (more D1 reskins like the scouts), they just don't feel like go-to guns aside from taking shields down. I'd kill for a Vanquishet, Shadow Price, Hung Jury, Talock, etc. Might start using the Rare guns more for a change. I do like how the Rares scale up now so they are still useable once you reach higher levels. It sucked when D1 cut off all the Y1 guns by leaving them at 170 max.

We didn't know what this mission was for, just decided to load it up, it was a challenge, then we got some nice armour. First Exotic: Voidfang Vestments I Xûrned this Exotic... after a few weeks of doing the Heroic strikes on the lowest difficulty, only getting 3 coins each time... because I was quite trash.

Ohhh shadow price same! And my first exotic was thunderlord, not the best, but to me it was big damn deal at the time! Now i cant remember my first legendary, and my first exotic was raiden flux, good perk, but again no big deal
