Seeing the massive lack of recovery gear for hunters, and the undeniably underpowered class ability they get, I think this would be a good start to fixing the class.
Health recovery initiating when you dodge rather than having to wait for your recovery cool down means that hunters can play a hit and run style more effectively and can spend more time fighting than hiding and waiting for health to come back. It also means we won't have to give up all of our stats just to achieve a meager 5-6 recovery max.
It would also be nice if dodge reloaded team mate weapons or melee based on the chosen perk, rather than just your own.

5 RepliesYes, you have to wait for your health to regen. But you just got out of dying, I think having to wait for your health to regen is more than reasonable. I would be fine with this if: - the cooldown was changed to about two minutes - Nightstalkers can no longer go invisible when dodging
-
I agree. Dodge needs some type of buff, one that could be useful to a fire team and not just the hunter. Titan gets Rally with auto reload on all classes. Tall can be a PvP beast. Warlock gets healing and empowering rifts in all classes.

3 RepliesEdited by SnakePayne86: 10/10/2017 1:06:18 PMInvisible huntards with swords in pvp confirmed what I've always felt about huntards, they're all scumbags.
-
It would be really nice if Dodge would support hospitals wit money so people can recover from injurys faster
-
2 RepliesHow about huntards losses half health after dodge
-
This is a great suggestion, with it though, you would have to increase the cooldown on it slightly.
-
22 RepliesLmao, why is it always hunters asking for the most ridiculous class buffs? Dodge has a cooldown of 25 seconds, 19 with 3 stacked paragon mods. Being able to instantly trigger health recovery once every 19 seconds is better than having a recovery stat of 10. Adding that to an instant reload, invisibility, and the actual dodge maneuver itself is ludicrous.
-
Terrible Hunter complaining that Hunters are underpowered? Same thing, different day
-
Dodge is great as is. Grab a sword, Dodge invisible, wreck fools, repeat. In Pve dodge reload is super handy. It can be two rockets fired back to back or whatever your flavor is.
-
2 RepliesOr dodging disables huntatrd health regen for the rest of the day? Just an idea...
-
4 Replies?.? My hunter has 10 recovery gear
-
hell no
-
3 RepliesThat class ability is not underpowered. Mobility at 30 fps is just as valuable if not more exploitable then anything else in the game. Peak shorting with a hunter on high mobility at 30 fps is damn near untouchable especially since the reticle is pushed away from where your aiming when another player does this. Dodge paired with a jump correctly is super disorienting especially in close quarters for people who are playing lower sens.

2 RepliesEdited by Talia Sendua: 10/10/2017 12:32:57 PMSeriously no. Hunters would then unkillable in the crucible. In my opinion they have actually a too long life time under fire. In my opinion should Hunters forced to play more sneaky and not offensive like a Titan should.
-
All these opinions with no data to support it. Let's get some actual crucible stats and see how things shake out. All this anecdotal whining is pointless. You want health regeneration? Maybe the hunter should be more squishy then. I've always found it silly that a hunter and titan going punch for punch and bullet for bullet is treated equally. Hunter gets perks that align with the 'type,' but despite their look, Titans are not any sort of tank. All that bulky armor might as well be plastic. Is what it is.
-
hunter's dodge should provide an overshield when evading near enemies but then pvp crybabies would enrage. Maybe it should reload your weapon😐🤔
-
I think it should reduce enemy aim assist, not remove it entirely like Shadestep in D1.
-
3 RepliesPersonally I want to dodge to have some sort of support ability for your teammates.
-
5 RepliesHonestly I think hunters have the highest survivability rate in both Pvp and pve like me and my teammates always look for our hunter to revive us in missions 😂😂
-
5 RepliesVoid locks have blink which is a better evade than dodge on a 1 sec cooldown. The have healing rift AND can heal again by eating a grenades. If that not OP then I don't see how the hunter health regeneration would be.
-
11 RepliesIn a game where recovery determines engagements this would be way too powerful. It's already frustrating enough to shoot someone forever and then they just panic roll and gain health again. No.... just no.
-
Do like most Hunters in Crucibal. Go invisible and run away!
-
-
It would make sense, especially for gamblers dodge seeing as that's a situational dodge. More often than not i find myself using that dodge IN close proximity to enemys because i wanto get the hell outof there and regen some health.
-
No! It's fine the way it is. And I play main Hunter. For me the best class in PvP and good enough for pve

6 RepliesAn instant health regeneration on dodge wud be considered op. You wud be able to use it too often and when compared to the other classes-again wud be considered op. Locks have healing rift, but you have to stay within that rift to benefit from it n Titans have barrier, but again ur limited in ur movements to benefit. I think creating an exotic armour piece similar to Titans Alpha Lupi could be a good compromise? It gives a chunk of health back whenever a barrier is used. That way you're tied to a specific armour piece to benefit-as opposed to it being an intrinsic perk of the class.
