Seeing the massive lack of recovery gear for hunters, and the undeniably underpowered class ability they get, I think this would be a good start to fixing the class.
Health recovery initiating when you dodge rather than having to wait for your recovery cool down means that hunters can play a hit and run style more effectively and can spend more time fighting than hiding and waiting for health to come back. It also means we won't have to give up all of our stats just to achieve a meager 5-6 recovery max.
It would also be nice if dodge reloaded team mate weapons or melee based on the chosen perk, rather than just your own.

2 RepliesNo no no no no

Hell no. How OP do you have to be?
-
dodge should give invisibility to go maximum bitchboy mode.. oh wait..
-
2 RepliesErm no. It would be easily abusable just like everything else hunter is.

Edited by Erijian: 10/9/2017 5:18:18 PMThat'd be a bit overpowered mate. Hunters aren't supposed to excel with recovery in the first place, so your argument about it is moot unless an Exotic does it. Anyway instead of making dodge a selfish perk that only benefits the Hunter, give it a form of actual utility.. Like all the other classes have. Not sure how they could do it though.

Use get mods to up your recovery. You should easily get to 4 Recovery with only one or two mods for it. That's not great, but it greatly increases survivability.

15 RepliesUndeniably underpowered class ability? LOL. Ya, being able to dive under bullets and shottie someone in the face with no skill involved is very underpowered. Titans get a wall that is useless half the time. It's too slow to be a panic button, so it just allows you to block off a doorway temporarily. Haven't used the Lock class yet, so can't really comment on it. Using the dodge with my new hunter last night was pretty cheap in all honesty and that's with a half finished perk tree.

10 RepliesEdited by TrashPanda90: 10/9/2017 2:32:49 PMIt might also be a good idea to let hunters consume the dodge ability energy in order to grant health recovery. Kind of like how warlocks can consume grenade energy as a void walker in order to start health recovery.

5 RepliesHey dodge should be on a 10 second cool down since it doesn’t do anything. And the dodge abilities should be on regular cooldown
-
3 RepliesAgreed so should Titan shield.
-
Yep, this was my thought since the beta. Regen but change the cool down to the same as Warlock and Titan.
-
8 RepliesNo. That would make the class op
-
That would make the invis dodge absolutely broken

5 RepliesEdited by Monkeymayhem915: 10/9/2017 2:42:04 PMMight get OP so maybe give a little health like the titan barrier gives
-
Maybe when hit with throwing knife but not dodge
-
2 RepliesMaybe with an exotic. Otherwise it would be a huge nerf to rift if an entire class can start healing themselves, while also dodging, while also reloading guns.
-
Exotic and third skill tree maybe. More than likely an exotic.

yeah good luck with that, maybe with an exotic

Playing as a Hunter compared to the other two classes is awful tbh.
-
I agree, I feel like Hunter dodge is seriously lacking compared to the other class abilities.

You'll get that when the next skill tree releases in DLC. Way of the Survivalist. Adds some healing to certain abilities. Of course it's already in the game but locked behind DLC.
sarcasm, but wouldn't be surprised
Seriously now, having two trees is a joke. When choosing a path locks you to four skills, at least offer more choices than two Ways.
