I’m a decent player, went flawless in D2 already but have absolutely no desire to ever touch trials again.
I’m talking about social and competitive. The 4v4 nature of both playlists has made every game I play so non fun and so f ing sweaty I have stopped playing D2 dramatically compared to the same point in time with D1.
I played D1 for clash, 6v6 specifically. I loved it, I love tdm, have since goldeneye 64. All through Halo, the Cods, tdm is fun and a great laid back time waster and most importantly great for solo queuing players like myself who would rather spend a few hours a night away from the wife and kids relaxing shooting some shit
Now I go into casual or competitive and I’m tryharding like it’s my mid 20’s again playing custom mlg halo games. I mean wtf bungie. You guys f’d up taking 6v6 out, and iron banner is going to be a sweat fest. I’m just over this.
Until 6v6 comes back I see no need to play this game, I don’t raid, I could care less about nightfalls, all I did was play a insane amount of pvp in d1 because it was fun. The gunplay was amazing. I lasted until Jan of 17, leaving due to the absolute castration of the weapon nerds performed through the years.
Now I’m done because you just couldn’t f ing include 6v6? It’s sad.
Looks like I’ll be waiting patiently for an update but in the meantime I guess I’ll just have to get my nightly tdm in cod ww2.

Only in trials when I'm stuck with my not so good friends
-
Not here, I'm itching to play, I am as addicted I've ever been.
-
No, I actually enjoy it. Much more than I enjoyed D1 PVP and my stats are technically worse in the new game.

... feel a sense of dread? Not any more, I've stopped playing the crucible. I can't remember the last time I missed an Iron Banner. Even when I've been working away from home I couldn't wait to get back on a Friday night and dive into IB. This time, despite the armour looking really good, I couldn't bring myself to load up Destiny, let along the Crucible. Couldn't bring myself to go through that tosh for just cosmetics (armour the same fixed perks as several sets I already have), shaders and tokens. This week I couldn't even bring myself to do any of the weekly milestones. And I feel so much better for it.

1 ReplyCrucible is truly disgusting right now. Just Mida camping and running from gunfights. It says something when a weapon from D1 is dominating the 'sequel'. And don't get me started on the red bar gods... Hiding the connection doesn't matter much when you can see a player teleporting all over the map and eating tons of damage while leading in score.
-
I was actually looking forward to IB until I saw the loot table included crap you could already get, after opening 2 engrams and getting non IB armor I already had I scrapped it and stopped playing.

Edited by Xûr: 10/10/2017 8:00:44 PMI just leave the queue when I see 3-4 man pre-mades, however sometimes the roster doesn't show right away #dashboard. Bungivision is trying too hard to turn this game into an E-sport with trials, only 4v4 game modes with the bs excuse of 6v6 being too chaotic meanwhile they literally made a mode with fast regenerating abilities and supers in D1. Control in 4v4 is like playing capture the flag with 2 people yourself included. (Control on that map on the Leviathan where there's two cap points literally next to each other (Who thought that was a good idea lmao.) Piss poor matchmaking ie someone who just bought the game can be matched up against a 4 man pre-made of trials sweats in quick play. Crucible has just turned into a teamshotting hell hole; I've had great matches where everyone including my team was solo players not clinging to each others butt cheeks for kills. Them there's the 70% of other matches where you just get either 3-4 man pre-mades or trials sweats going into quickplay (GO TO COMP) or one of those matches where even though they're not grouped in a fireteam they still cling to each other for kills.

Edited by SuperHugger: 10/11/2017 8:15:16 AMThe truth is, Bungie will never bring back 6v6. Their 'new high tech peer-to-peer system' won't improve by adding more players, and they're never ever going to introduce dedicated servers either. Sadly, it is what it is. They've opted for a small scale multiplayer framework for a large scale game. As for their motivations for enforcing fireteams, it's based on their values in gamer coordination and clanning. That's simply community design, not so much the technical aspect. If they had dedicated servers, they'd be able to justify the sub-second TTK that enforces the need for clan-based fireteams, but they can't have both the lack of servers AND short TTK. They believe they've balanced the compromise by scaling it back to 4v4, but a couple of seconds across the globe can't support that decision. Not being nasty about this, but read my lips, they will never ever ever add dedicated servers or 6v6 games, no matter how much of the community screams for it. If anything, they MAY adjust weapons, modes, and armour perks, MAYBE, MARGINALLY, but I'd be surprised if they did, as the community would simply rage about the changes. After all, they already know they can't please everyone, which leads to making decisions for the greater good, and not changing anything at all.

9 RepliesIf I load in, and I see less than 4 people walking up for the intro scene, I auto-leave. If I load in, and there's people AFK right away, I leave. Starting at a disadvantage is not fun. I'm not obligated to sit around and be KD Farm for people.

I miss the days of D1 pvp. It wasn't the best, there was a lot to rage at, and the cheese potential was endless, but there was that ability to do anything that made it durable. You could have sweety games, you could have bs games, you could have fun games, and you could have unorthodox games. The possibilities were endless You wanted to be a titan but hang in the air like a warlock? You could do that. You wanted to be an invis hunter who assassinated people with stickies? You could do that. Wanted to be an almighty space wizard? Kite the enemy team all day? You wanted to go gung ho with a shotgun? Pick people off with a sniper? VOOP people with a fusion? Fan the hammer? Dominate with "bad weapons"? Play the meta? Defy the meta? Build against the meta? Break the meta? Wanted to go sweet in trials?Have fun with mayhem? Troll around in inferno? The possibilities were endless. You could customize how you wanted to play, you could decide what type of match you wanted to play (Supremecy, clash, control, mayhem, inferno, 6v6, 3v3, free-for-all, custom matches, etc...), and it was up to you to execute it. You alone decided how a match would go. You could be a liability for a team, you could play with your team, you could lone wolf it, and you could carry entire teams if you were smart enough. Now all that is gone. The game is much more balanced now that they can control exactly what you can and can't do, but by doing that they took away our ability to customize to the extent that we had in D1. Now every game is more or less the same. It's great if you like it, more power to you. I wish you the best in your PvP endeavors. It's just sadly not the same for me. Fortune's favor out there in the Iron lagger, god know's we'll all need it to get that sweet, sweet armor without losing an arm and a leg for it

1 ReplyPvP is all there is left to play right now and because it's so bad the game is pointless. PvP is chaotic and is extremely unrewarding. Gameplay itself is all over the place. PvP takes no individual skill. It's a bunch of players that can only get kills because they are holding hands with their entire team Maybe their can be a super called the ultimate friendship where if everyone on your team had a special and does them at the same time the game ends and everyone gets a participation trophey for playing

Iron banner solo queuing is the most horrible experience I’ve had in any -blam!-ing game since the original nes. Congrats bungie. I actually feel ill right now.
-
I can't being my self to play PvP in D2 with out at least two team mates with me
-
Answer: no. Also, I don’t play 4 hours a night so Destiny is quite fresh still.
-
Been doing pvp for years, this is the most annoying... not because its the worse because i expected better. Wont again.
-
I play it on a weekly basis now. I get my milestone for Shaxx and then play PVE until the next reset. I used to love D1’s Crucible despite the “unbalanced” weapons and abilities. D2’s Crucible feels more like a chore and I honestly don’t see how people find it “fun”

Edited by RandoCammando14: 10/10/2017 3:59:18 PMI agree in some ways with you joey. I do miss 6v6 and being able to take on 2 or more people at a time. its definitely harder now to 1v2 players in crucible. I believe its something players will have to get use to unfortunately. team shooting has become essential unless its a 1v1. and this darn efficiency rating instead of KD is crap. People think they are so good with a 12.0 when they have mostly assists. though I do not believe a 6v6 will not come back. 4 people team shooting is damn strong right now, can you imagine 6 people team shooting? I think Bungie tried a 6v6 and realized how aids a 6 man team would be. Haha I know I would be pissed off getting team shot by a team of 6. I dont know what the solution would be in this case for 6v6 to come back. I do know the pulse grenades are OP haha. Just have to get use to a new play style in D2.

I -blam!-ing hated D1 Crucible, and I -blam!-ing hate D2 Crucible as well. It’s not a fun PVP experience for me, and all the people who complain about things in Crucible ruin everything in PVE, THEN continue to bitch about Crucible even after changes are made!
-
I love the MIDA massacre game mode, it's my favorite! Jokes aside, I only ever play Crucible when I have to for that weekly engram and if I want the Phoenix Strife arms for my Titan, they're pretty ill and I want em.
-
I do when I'm loading up competitive crucible.

1 ReplyMight as well call it Mida Practice Range.

Since D1!

1 ReplyEdited by Dredd_fan: 10/10/2017 9:10:53 AMDread? Dredd? Judge Dredd: In case you players have forgotten, this game operates under the same rules, as the rest of the gaming industry. Bungie is not the law... I am the law. Bungie is a common developer; guilty of being average, guilty of the manufacture and distribution of the incomplete game, known as Destiny 2, and as of now under sentence of death. Any who obstruct me in carrying out my duty will be treated as an accessory to their crimes... you have been warned. And as for you Bungie... judgement time.

D2 crucible is great where your with a fire team. Just go find a clan or some buddies to squad up with. I hate playing D2 alone but with a team I love it.
-
7 Repliesto be honest crucible has gotten worse anyway if your 300 or higher you cant do much damage to any player but someone who is level 268 up to 279 can kill in roughly 2-3 shots on anyone with any weapon some even just 1 shot. i couldnt care if i die but the cheating needs to stop in order for crucible to become fun again oh and anyone can give me shit for saying this i dont care cuz hate is invalid

Edited by xKCz: 10/9/2017 8:38:51 PMPoint blank refuse to play crucible in this game now. Nowhere near as fun compared to D1.
