ELO and rankings are elietist. if you can't see any stats then no one is better than anyone else.

While some feel that way others like myself liked having some kind of metric to gauge our progress and see what our weak points are. We shouldn't have to rely on third parties to figure that out for us

lets review the latest TWaB. We have 0 power level advantages in end game PvP content. You would think that Bungie would care that its players actually played all the content till end game before they could take part in the end game events. Why bother with rankings and rewards if everyone is the same. That would promote bad feeling among the community? right? There are medals, but there is no way to view the medals in game. There is no different rewards for players that win 1 game of trials or people that win 200 games of trials flawlessly? Are their clan rankings between players in the game? This is not me, but its Bungies Philosophy in designing the game at a core level to weed out elietist gear, banners and exotics that could be viewed as a casual player as something he will never attain, could never attain. Everyone gets the same trophy, at tis point it means nothing if everyone is the same. Sorry dude, no snowflakes.

I enjoy your use of buzzwords like snowflakes but it doesn't really apply to people who want to compete with each other. Maybe you enjoy everyone being on "the same level" but some of us are better than others and want to see how we stack up against our friends and competitors. A lack of rankings is antithetical to the idea of competition and a competitive playlist. The only snowflakes are people like you and the devs at Bungie who don't want anyone to feel bad about their performance.

if one person is good the others need to be bad. D1 wa all about that flawless scarab, and adept weapons and armour to SHOW other players on the game that you are good at PvP. Other than weapon skins, whats the difference between the trials AR and a uriels gift? I couldn't give a shit if rankings are in this game or not. I don't play PvP at all. The lag is still bad and the "physics host" still allows trades and getting shot through walls. It pleases me to know that people are upset that they can't see how much better they are than the next guy.

Sounds like you're salty about being bad at pvp man. I don't say that to be mean it just comes across like the fox saying "sour grapes". "I don't enjoy pvp so neither can anyone else" I hope your experience in the crucible turns around and you learn to enjoy it as much as I do.

They want "their" stats to be compared to better players than you (not hard). The wambulance is over "there". Thought this might help you type out some sweet salty posts but not defeat your own cause.

I didn't take an extreme attitude. I want a rank system and you don't. I said that I hope you learn to like the game, and you responded by suggesting that players who don't enjoy it ought to be gassed, which seemed to me a little crazy.
