Literally everyrhing is dropping at fkn 293 on my titan..totally pointless grinding on after the milestones are done and it feels like bungie have dropped the ball on this one.

2 RepliesI'm not going to go into depth regarding your "loot is all" attitude here. ... Actually, I am. It's all I'm gonna comment on. It's the foundation of my comment. HERE WE GO. LOOT ISN'T EVERYTHING. This is a GAME! With multiple aspects to enjoy. Aye, if you are the loot-hungry hoarder of Hell, and that is all you ever care about, then you're not gonna be happy once your precious is safe and sound in your pocket, because your simple purpose in life is complete, and now you endure the value 6 of Pythagorean numerology. Here's the kicker: there's more to the game than just loot. And if loot it all you care about, then feel free to explore one of the various other aspects of the game. - There's lore, which is actually pretty decent in itself, and fun to gather bits and pieces of. (There are hundereds of vids on youtube, dozens of hours on D2 lore alone). I find this rather enjoyable. - There's the pure game design to enjoy, which occasionally has me just looking around dumbfounded at the sheer awesomeness that the devs pack into the world. I may have a slight case of ADD, but I once stopped in a strike because I got dazzled by a fkin LAMP they really nailed the design of. Many people enjoy spending hours at end just spelunking and exploring, finding hidden gems of game design everywhere. - As a game, there's always the notion of "you're not the best", hence one aspect may be to become the best you can be in regards of skill, whether PvP or PvE. Already think you're the master of your class? Switch to a different spec, and see how it goes. Go ahead and build a kit for that spec, and hone your abilities. - Now, I'm gonna assume you're a selfish pr*ck, because you spend 6 hours on milestones and consider yourself "Done". What about your mates? Your clan mates? Are they done? Have you contributed to helping your clan-kin in any constructive manner whatsoever? If your answer is "no", and you still consider yourself done, then you are indeed a selfish pr*ck - and I do not pity your purposeless state of mind. Players like you expect to be handed a perfect experience in an open world game with so many activities, and lock on to a mere fragment of the game experience - mindlessly assuming you grasp what the game is all about. You've invested in a game that has so much more to offer, and complain once you've "finished" what you're interested in. There's so much more to do, so many more players to have fun with, so many sites to see and explore, many wonders to behold, and skills to hone. Get out there and open your eyes.

2 RepliesI know it's kinda odd for these forums but i play because I'm having fun lol
-
2 RepliesCan everyone just relax and wait for more? Bungie knows people are running out of stuff to do. They'll be adding things and raising the light lvl soon enough. Happened the same way with D1. By the time they were done adding to it, new players had so many options it was slightly overwhelming. Make a new character for now is all I can advise, lol.

1 ReplyPlay for fun with friends. Do Crucible and wreck some enemies.... Hell, ever played Overwatch? You don't have even better gear, you do it for fun! Also play other games.

I agree. After completing the milestones you want to do for the week, there is no further point in logging on other that to check what Xur is selling.
-
I agree :(
-
13 RepliesNo point having sex after you've made a baby but we still do it!
-
2 RepliesMake your own fun. My buddy went afk for an hour to make dinner. I spent 45 minutes with my other buddy pushing him to the back of a cave system on Io. We narrated as we pushed him through a fire fight. "Dave ruthlessly dispatched his persuers!". It was the dumbest fun!
-
Go into tower with friends, turn off hud, then play hide n seek!
-
All 3 of my characters are 305 and I still don't get engrams or vendor engrams to drop at 300 which makes me feel the same. Why bother wasting my time if I am going to get useless rewards. Once milestones are complete I stop playing.
-
Destiny 1 wasnt any different. After you beat your nightfalls and raid, you took a break for the week or you farmed extra stuff out of boredom.
-
Totally agree.

3 RepliesAs much as I love this game your completely right. I am by no means good at the game (as you can see by my only character being 277), but I played the first destiny and I would occasionally get gear that was better than my light. Now there are milestones which do jump you up 4-5 power levels after doing all of them, but after that your kinda stuck. I find myself getting on on Tuesday and doing the milestones, then farming pub events for exotics and waiting for xur to hopefully bring an exotic I want. Then getting off for the week. Rinse and repeat. Destiny two is by no means a bad game because of this. Just wish there was a way to consistently have a reason to play besides having fun.
-
it takes me six hours or less to complete all my milestones. after that I farm exotics until I can't stand it then I go play something else. it's sad really, I used to play D1 for months at a time. bring in D2 and six lousy hours later I am kinda bored. :(
-
man, i'm going to have to agree with what you're saying. i like the collect & rank. So, the ranking part is kinda over after the milestones, like you said. thing that keeps me playing is trying to collect stuff. and, playing with the clan mates is a reason as well. i do actually enjoy the game. but, i'm also just one of those dirty casual gamers.. :)
-
2 RepliesOf course you will get those who will say you are playing the game for the wrong reason. As if their playstyle should be the only 1 allowed. If you don't play to chase the loot, that's cool. But to say there is something wrong with someone playing a LOOT based game just to chase LOOT, is a tad bit ridiculous. For those of us who like chasing loot, wich there has to be quite a few, there should be something to work towards.
Literally everyrhing is dropping at fkn 293 on my titan..totally pointless grinding on after the milestones are done and it feels like bungie have dropped the ball on this one.
Finished 2/3 my milestones yeaterday and raided twice as well. I will eaisly beat the raid another 5-7 times this week just because i help my friends. Maybe dont be such a social outcast and find some friends to play with and have fun with and the game will come right back to life :D

Can’t disagree at all

4 RepliesYou could always play the video game for fun. Have you tried the Tractor Cannon? It's a barrel of laughs.
-
Normally negative posts annoy me. But I agree an I see this being a huge problem down the roads
-
2 RepliesAnother casual with a complaint to bungie, lol
-
3 RepliesPeople must have no imagination I always have a lot of fun playing this game all week.
-
6 RepliesAnyone ever played a video game to have fun? Just curious...
-
6 RepliesDo one not play the game for the gameplay? I'm not here to watch a number incrementally increase. I'll send you an email with a slightly higher number once a week if that's what you want.
