I quit.

If you've come here to post some sarcastic non-comment along the lines of "bye" or "can I have your stuff" jog on, hit the X on the top right of your screen, go do something constructive with your life. For the rest of you who give half a f*ck about the destiny community, I'm done with this game until something drastic happens to make the endgame worth doing and not tedious, bland, boring and down right frustrating. Lets look at the endgame activities one by one. 1: Strikes - Completely worthless, you get more loot doing public events and public events take at worst a quarter of the time assuming you got unlucky with spawns. The strikes all hold no real lore significance, add nothing significant to the story, and to top it off you can't even choose which strikes you want to do anymore. You know in a sequel you're supposed to add functionality, not take it all away, and I can't think of a single good reason to remove strikes from the storyline and make their selection completely RNG. 2: Public Events - They actually made them fun, when you're not zoning in and out of an area over and over again trying to find players to do them with. I've lost count of the number of times I've zoned into an area only to find it devoid of all players, or found players who have no idea how to trigger the heroic event and gormlessly watch me carry orbs around while they pop the spider tank in the brain case. Does it not occur to people that maybe the lv20 dude is doing that stupid s*it for a reason and they should perhaps copy him? It doesn't help that bungie does nothing to explain heroic events to new players. 3. The Nightfall - I'm going to say this slowly and in big letters so you get it. TIMERS. ARE. NOT. FUN. They aren't fun, never have been, never will be. The nightfall was plenty challenging for it's gear rewards beforehand, it doesn't need this artificial difficulty bulls*it added on top. I get it, you want people to feel challenged for the rewards, but the flip side of that is players feeling cheated when they lose to a timer instead of the enemy. 4. The Leviathan - Boring, tedious and a complete waste of an otherwise beautiful setting. What the hell was Bungie thinking? With the exception of the final boss, these aren't raid encounters, they're glorified puzzle rooms, and the 30 second revive or wipe timer on normal mode is just another lazy way of artificially creating difficulty. The Baths - Never died to mechanics, always wiped to one dude dying to adds and dragging the rest of the team with him because you either drop your mechanics and die, or don't revive and die. The Pleasure Gardens - Lost count of the number of times the dogs bugged out and saw the people jumping on the platforms above them. Also if you're going to force stealth on people, maybe consider putting working stealth mechanics in your game, or maybe just don't do it since this is a MMOFPS not a Stealth action game. The Gauntlet - You're literally having us jump through hoops, and someone somewhere at Bungie thought this would be fun? Also nice troll with the 'only 3 people have to make it to the end but if anyone dies the 30 second wipe timer will f*ck you', thing, that was a nice touch. Oh and you know what else I love, not getting loot for any of this shit, not being able to spend my tokens until after completing the raid, having to find the other half of my reward in yet another stealth game, having my keys removed from my account on reset, having to walk through a maze every time I want to get back to the boss I was at, and after all this finding out that the loot is garbage and has nothing worthwhile over more easily obtainable loot. Other stuff - Removing the variety of perks on guns turns keeping or trashing a weapon into a binary and therefore boring choice. Forcing PvE players into PvP in order to maximize their light increase for the week sucks. You still didn't fix the hunter jumping bug nor the black screen bug from year 1 of the first game. Most (but not all) exotics just don't feel powerful at all. Oh, and the companion app's new look sucks and it never bloody works properly. And I'm out.

      Strikes in Destiny 1 had lore and even pre quests. So you stay near the Strike area and this "what is inside of this gate?" It was that hype before you started the Strike for the first time. In Destiny 2, no lore, no Strike pre quests, just like a mini game inside a game. Strikes are great designed, but, there should be more story around it, plus when you play the story there should be low level Story Strikes, like The Devils Lair, Summoning Pits. Raid should also be more story driven, why are we there? Whats the point of all this? Rewards? Destiny 2 reward system is a spit in the face. Raid Loot is a junk, Faction Weapons are better than every legendary Raid Weapon. Even Trials is not worth the time, junk loot. Exotics should have lover drop chance in Public Events, but a good chance in Raids, Nightfalls, Trials Flawless. And doubles, you get double gear all the time. Legit quit reasons when people quit and never return back. All this time from Bungie "we listen to your feedback, you as a player, is a very important part of our cummunity" and trash, is just a spit in every Destiny 1 players face. Destiny 2 have less content than The Taken King. They would time gate the rest, over the end of the year and beyond 100%.

            • let me counteract all your bullshit claims 1. Strikes, You actually have some point here, I do think there needs to be a heroic playlist as a middle ground in between the regular and nightfall, but choosing individual strikes just clutters the map and choosing them individually in D1 didnt give you any loot anyway. 2. Public Events- they were the big thing of D2, most of the time I got players to help, sure i got a couple of times where I had to solo it but I was able to do it, get good kid 3. Nightfall- Luke Smith said there was a timer and thats that, -blam!-ing deal with it, its an endgame activity so it should be hard so stop screaming and moaning like a 12 year old, just find a good fireteam and if you have to restart a couple times so what, just communicate with your teammates as to what your using pre-strike and call out, its not a big deal you baby 4. Raid- again your supposed to wipe many times when you first do the raid it will grow on you if you give it a -blam!-ing chance, like the nightfall its supposed to be hard, so stop being a whiny bitch and find a decent fireteam but be understanding for once that not everyone you find will have the same skill level.

                        • Your totally right this game is a big let down compared to Destiny 1 the raids are boring Strikes are boring PVP sucks and a whole bunch of reskins. Only thing good was the story and graphics

                          Timers are the easy way to add difficulty to the game mode. It's dumb it's lazy and unfortunately it represents everything bungie has become. D2 is trash.

                        • I think it's funny that, of everything you complained about, the boss fight with Calus WASN'T a topic. That fight is the single most broken, buggy, and irritating encounter I've ever dealt with. The barriers inside the dimension disappearing, not appearing at all, the symbols not showing up, and the tiniest of lips sending you CLEAR up into the air. I even ended up wiping because we had him on his last attack, but Bungie's servers crashed for us and kicked us out with an error code. But nah. That section that was virtually Gorgon Maze, that's the real problem. That obstacle course? That's way too hard. And lord forbid us have to be proactive and play an encounter like it ISN'T on rails for us, like the baths.

                        • I can't believe how many of us have dropped this game so quickly! I know alot of people weren't happy in the beta phase but literally 2 weeks after launch and im bored! Theres just no variety to any of the content, its all just bunched together, theres no choice in pvp match modes or strikes, i can't even replay the story missions!
