Destiny 1 Vault:
- 108 Weapon slots
- 108 Armor slots
- 72 General slots
Destiny 2 Vault: 200 slots for everything (so less slots overall AND no sorting)! THIS IS PROGRESS!
Someone should modify the computer of the designer who made the Destiny 2 vault and put all his files in ONE FOLDER in the middle of his desktop, remove all sorting options from that folder, limit it to 200 files and see how he likes it.
The destiny 2 vault should have MORE space than the destiny 1 vault and also offer sorting options.

destiny 1 vault: 36ish slots all told

It’s awful. I’m playing through on my second character and it’s a pain in the ass...Can’t sort by type, can’t sort by required level, cant sort by power level. Basically anything useful for finding gear is not an option. On top of that, out of the few options they do give us 2 are worthless. I can’t for the life of me figure out what the “default” option is, and what the hel use is sorting by quantity when everything shows up as a single weapon?!

Obviously it's being held back by uhh...wait..huh

1 ReplyThey did this so later they can add more vault space and be praised because they, "Listened to the community."
-
You need to add a vault tag so this post is easier to find
-
Bungie made gear have set stats so that we didn't have to keep multiples of a gun or armor piece. This was supposed to help with vault space, but now my vault is filling quickly. Shaders are causing me and others to hoard multiples of the same guns and armor so we don't waste shaders if we want to look different for a day. All the shaders I have liked so far are from eververse so there isn't an option to redo anything to get more. Also, why can't I put a shader on any of my swords?!

That's a def, there is way too little vault space for the amount of mods, weapons and gear available(especially if u have 3 characters

3 RepliesDidn't they blame last gen in y1 on why they couldn't add vault space? Hmm, I wounder what the excuse is now...
New gen? lol
-
4 RepliesIMHO, it's not a question regarding the overall space compared to Destiny, but the fact that it is just one big ass storage with no separation or organization. Hell, the vault in vanilla Destiny was more organized than what we have been given in Destiny 2. Yes to having more sorting options, and if the vault remains as a convoluted cluster f**k, then give us the ability to sort by type. As it stands, I plan on using DIM a lot more in Destiny 2 than I did in Destiny and I used it extensively. Still waiting for Ishtar Commander to be updated and once that happens - I don't see myself ever stand in front of the vault kiosk.

21 RepliesEdited by YourVillain: 9/19/2017 1:01:58 PMI know but we got so much with that reset like... Ummm... Uhhhh... More character customization? Wait, no. A useful in game map? No, that's not right. An in game Grimoire? Yea, that's not it. A character that talks? Nah. A world with no out of bounds that you can actually explore? Not quite. Actual stat numbers instead of a vague bar graph? Nada. A way to meaningfully interact with other players, maybe trade items or something? That doesn't sound right. It will come to me... I'm sure I'll remember why they reset the game.
Oh, and also this app
Its because ps3 and Xbox 360 is holding them back....oh wait, can't use that anymore...huh umm....its because....these fools at Bungie don't learn from their past mistakes...yea that's better!

2 RepliesEveryone please relax, this issue will be fix in Anthem. :)

1 ReplyBut you don't need to vault exotics as they're there in collections. And, lets be honest, are there 200 items in this game that are worth keeping? LOL

1 ReplyEdited by joey big guns: 9/21/2017 1:04:43 AMHmm, how many could we hold in week 3 Vanilla I wonder...
-
6 RepliesThey will expand the vault size over time just like last time. I am not saying to not horde things, but maybe don’t horde things. Right now.
-
I can't help but feel this game was rushed for a deadline.

1 ReplyBungie is like an apple phone. A technology/feature exist or is available in the market but of course when apple release a new iPhone with said features, the world goes crazy. For example, wireless charging existed for almost 3 years now, but now that iPhone have it, people act like its "revolutionary " Bungie is like this, they try to slowly release features that should have been in the game already, but they don't. Why? Because it make them look productive when they start adding these changes.
-
2 RepliesBro it's week 2 if you're already running out of space then you need to let shit go ahahah
-
Edited by Househ0ld item: 9/20/2017 2:06:25 PMJust shows you Bungie's lack of honesty when they blamed the size of the vaults on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 users. They lie all the time and this game has to start showing that to everyone. You wait, the vault will have 500 slots when PC version is released.
-
He'd be okay, because the ENTIRE game only took 200 lines of code.
-
3 RepliesIt does have sorting! Of course they're not sort options that are actually useful like, oh I don't know, alphabetical, by weapon type, or by the equipment type for mods. Really outlandish to suggest such exotic options I know but that's just me :)
-
All you guys are so wrong... The vault is limiting fps to 30 and the fps cap is limiting the vault via the hybrid cloud super secret stealth connection server. It makes sense to Bungie!

1 ReplyEdited by LionO: 9/19/2017 12:09:16 PMLMAO I was going to make a post about this. It was going to be called "So are we just going to Ignore the fact Destiny 1 has more Vault Space?" Bungie's excuse for Destiny 1 Vault space was lack of memory due to last gen restrictions. So uhhhh... yeah Bungie whats your excuse now since this game is no longer being held back by memory restraints from last gen? There is literally no excuse, unless they plan to sell more space for silver? LOL It should be at minimum 400 slots with sorting options in the vault.

A better vault will be part of one of the expansions. You want something...you gotta throw money at the screen.

I heard you will be able to upgrade your vault like destiny 1 thru the eververse. Get them debit cards out people. Its a shame the d1 vault was so much better. You would think they could make armor and weapons tab. 200 slots each. With consumables being shared all the time and not being stored in a vault, you would think splitting armor and weapons into 2 tabs, 200 each would be less drain on servers than 1 tab with everything combined. I think maybe they figure most items will be dismantled.
