We've almost completed the raid and have to say,as an experienced d1 raider, this raid is just not fun to play.No bosses and very tedious puzzles. Not sure if I'll do this raid again after 1 completion, and that hurts cause i loved d1 raiding.I have no desire to play a raid that feels like work instead of fun.
The raid is getting more fun. You'll just need a dedicated group.

The final boss and gauntlet I thought are really cool encounters. The dogs on the other hand.......

I've been waiting years for a cabal raid, thinking I'd be taking on legions at a time and gaints, like full on war, not -blam!-ing sneaking around a garden and getting lost in tunnles, who would of guessed space rhinos liked Thier puzzels and mazes

6 RepliesEdited by name: 9/18/2017 12:51:17 PMit's not fun already trying to get inside the raid, getting into a LFG party is harder than applying for a job IRL... Must have experience already 1st week into the raid , must have emblem must have this that, yet some people not even got a chance to try lol

I enjoy it. Haven't beaten Calus yet, but I think it is tastefully difficult. It's cool searching under the palace for extra loot as well as having a way to find the raid rooms from under the palace. My only complaint with this game is how easy it is to get trials loot. I did one card, didn't even go flawless, and I already have the hand cannon, pulse rifle, scout rifle, auto rifle, and chest piece for armor

5 RepliesJoined a group which was at the dogs today. Was my first time the raid. They took us a lot of time, but I enjoyed learning the encounter. We finally killed them, and not much later we completed the Gauntlet. Quit at Calus. So, yes, I had fun. But... I completed two encounters and only got 15 tokens and 4 shaders. The vendor in the Tower isn't there until you defeat Calus. In comparison to Trials of the Nine, just in terms of upgrades/loot, the raid honestly sucked. You get more Tokens in Trials, you don't need to get flawless to trade in your tokens, you 'only' need to play Countdown in comparison to a 6-man-raid, yet the reward rate seems to be much better in Trials. At least I feel like this after completing 2/4 encounters in the raid and like 2 half tickets in Trials. I got 3 items and upgrades in Trials vs 15 Calus tokens I can't even turn in yet. And Trials has challenges where you get a lot of Tokens. And the raid? And that's a bitter feeling. Don't forget I'm only talking about the reward rate from the Raid vs Trials. Raid was fun to play but the rewards pissed me off.

2 RepliesHaha another weak guardian with no skill. I love these kind of players.

1 ReplyWeird thing is its a cabal raid, so you would think we would fight alot of enemies and bosses with alot of health.

*Reads topic name* I love what he just said.

1 ReplyI feel like I'm the only one that enjoys it...

As of this morning, I've watched... 30 or so videos of different teams running the Raid. None of them have prompted me to try to scrape together five (5) more people to try the Raid. I just looks like a slog of frustration, and why would I want to put myself through that? VoG? Watching the videos while my limited game time let me work slowly to a level to participate, those videos made me want to do the raid even more. It looked challenging, but looked like so much fun. And once I got to finally attempt and complete the Raid, it was as fun and challenging as it looked. I fell in love with that raid. Crota's End? About the same as the VoG. Some parts were pure bullshit, but overall, it looked like fun in the videos, and it was when I could try it myself. Prison of Elders? A fun arena that the videos did justice to. Oryx? Looked awesome. Never got to finish the Raid, but it was still just as fun as the videos made it out to be. Wrath of the Machine? Never bought Rise of Iron, but it looked like fun from the videos. Leviathan? All I can see is a slog, and frustration without bounds. This Raid doesn't look like fun in any sense of the word. I'm of a Light level to run the Raid now, but it just doesn't seem like fun at all, thus I will probably skip this Raid.

It's just not fun, I enjoyed pools but that was it. Dogs was cool once but it got old and the same with gauntlet. The boss is just ok not good but not bad either. There is nothing wrong with mechanics but when I almost don't feel like I'm playing destiny what's the point. I think wrath of the machines got it right with a good balance between mechanics and having fun. Death Zamboni might have been one of my favorite cps out of all the raids.

23 RepliesThis raid is on par with VOG. You just suck.

Bugs = artificial difficulty

1 ReplyWas expecting big badass cabal bosses, instead we got dogs. GG bungo

I'll be honest I agree, the raid is a bit...boring. Now I really liked the beast garden part since it was something fresh, as was the gauntlet but the music, sounds and feel of the beast gardens was great. Honestly the rest though, while difficult to get done becomes tedious as hell on repeat playthroughs, whereas combat encounters keep you doing thigs and can go wrong, puzzle based ones just get boring, theres next to no variance after one run and it feels like it takes more time since you arent interested at all while doing it. Overall I do like the raid, i think some parts are reslly good, but in other places it feels like the worst one yet and I do not think this was a good move to make it the first raid of destiny 2, as im already simply waiting for a more interesting encounter to srruve in dlc form.

it's the gaurdians that suck, what makes this raid hard... because we can't carry them
-
4 RepliesThis was my favorite raid by far. No special weapons meant more mechanics and less "stand here and snipe the boss". My friends and I finally have a challenge where everyone needs to play their part and where the chain is only as strong as the weakest link. The only gripe I have is how terrible the reward drop rate is.
-
.."almost" completed it?..
-
2 RepliesIt's the Cabal. Throughout both games they've always been the bulkiest and most annoying enemy faction to fight, for better or for worse. And now they have dogs.
-
2 RepliesSame here, finished the raid yesterday. Tedious is a good word for it. I loved VoG and Crota but all the raids since then have been too full of complicated raid mechanics to be much fun imo.
-
I beat it but it's more stressful than fun lol
-
Raid always sucks until you beat it. This is known.
-
Unless this is just a ploy to get us to pay for the d1 raids people will throw alot of cash at the thought of bringing back the d1 raids.
-
2 RepliesThis raid is hella fun and the learning process is fun too. Currently at gauntlet and i would say its almost on par with how great of a time i had with kings fall
-
2 RepliesU r bad

10 RepliesVault of Glass still the best raid IMO.
