actually we sort of are. If not for the USA every country in the world would be speaking german, japanese, or possibly russian depending..... especially if you are french, british, and any country not named America.

Technically we should probably be thanking the Russians for winning WW2 not the US. For every American death 80 Russians died in WW2. The Russians killed 2.7 million Germans compared to 0.5 million for all the allied forces combined. The Russians were also the first to enter and take Berlin at the end of the war. But you're probably not taught that stuff in US history classes are you?

Our armies were the only thing stopping the russians from doing EXACTLY what germany was trying to do. Do you even know why there was a berlin wall???? Do you know the russians killed more civilians than the germans in their concentration camps? THANK the russians? all they did was die vs the germans for 3 years. If not for Hitlers idiocy germany could have taken russia in a few weeks at the beginning of the war and over run moscow. there would have BEEN no falling back... pick up a book kid.

Hey I'm not saying the Russians were the good guys. Obviously Stalin was just as bad if not worse than hitler. All I'm saying is if it wasn't for the Russians hitler would probably have won the war. So before you claim the US were the reason the Germans lost maybe YOU should pick up a history book.

thats not correct. The USA and russia won. england survivied, they didnt win. australia didnt win. two superpowers emerged directly because of WW2 and they became enemies immediately upon WW2 ceasefire

actually at the end of WW2 the USA had enough aircraft carriers, planes, supplies, etc etc etc to take over the entire world. Thats a fact. We destroyed 95 percent of what we built. Do you have ANY CLUE how many aircraft carriers the USA had at wars end? Its scary look it up if Russia had what we had they would have conquered the world....not COULD have....they WOULD HAVE. France didnt win ww2 England didnt save themselves even russia didnt stop germany....USA supplies did. Sorry but eventually the USA would have EASILY beaten Germany ALL by itself. Thats not hubris that is what would have happened based on facts. Im a historian on WW2. Have a library of more books than I can count. Been reading about it for about 30 years. So NO. the allies did not and COULD NOT win WW2

It took years to build all that equipment....cart horse horse cart. You have a straw argument. Vietnam was won. USA never lost one single battle. Politics decided the U.S. pullout of Vietnam. The vietcong were crushed by the USA. France got beat by the VC , no one could beat them in their home but the USA...... Now flip that story of yours around and put russia in it.... afghanistan......russia lost that fight. Cold hard facts are hard to argue there kiddo
