My clans decided not to continue as they've been taken over by family matters so it looks as though D2 will be a single experience..much like most of D1 was.
That's okay. Clans and I just don't fit together well...but..
It seems D2 is very much built on clans and the rewards all clan members get even if they aren't involved in end game activity.
Is this the end for solo players ?.
Thoughts ?.
Edit : Thank you for the kind invitations to join clans. I'm in the UK and 51 so might not be who you had in mind lol. I'm also Autistic so not exactly fond of mics or loud people in my ears!

3 RepliesI'm mostly a solo player. I work from home (he he) so when I start early and get finished early I'm able to hop on. I do have a buddy I play with but he plays mostly at, luckily he's on the east coast so 6pm my time 9pm his time and we'll play to about 9-10pm my time. So I do get a few hours of play time with him but mostly I'm solo. Everybody I use to play with either fell out of touch or found other players to play with that I don't care for or just stopped playing Destiny. No worries though, being mostly a solo player I have learned to adjust my play style and play more passive when playing myself and not putting myself in bad situation. All hail the solo players!!

4 RepliesEdited by ThisFuknGurl: 8/27/2017 11:09:20 PMI'll be playing solo. My boyfriend hates destiny. He's more into sport games. I also hate clans.

1 ReplyMostly deaf, so solo most things as well. It's been a fun 3 years and plan on having more fun. See you in D2, guardians.

With there being so much to do, I think d2 pve will be the best solo experience yet, but they really are pushing team play with everything. Shameless plug for my clan, Shadows Of Yor. We're into everything. Pvp, pve, extensive lore study, or just grouping up to dance around random people at the tower. We aren't pro, or even top tier at any of it, but we have a damn good time hanging out in the destiny universe and all are welcome. Feel free to add me on psn, we'll play a bit together, and if me and the other clan leader think you'll mesh with our group (so far everybody has) then you're in, simple as that.

4 RepliesI'll solo the story missions and patrols...I like to take my time and take everything in my first go-round, but I'm going to look for a clan on here to do the endgame pve stuff.
-
I've actually been attempting to expand my clan instead leaning towards solo play. For the midnight launch, I'll be having 5+ people at my house. Two or three of us will have both PS4 and XB1 running lol. It's gonna be awesome! Our clan isn't huge, but I'm hoping we can max out rewards lol.

2 RepliesI am but just for the main story.
-
2 RepliesI might end up playing solo as usual since I struggle at interacting with people.
-
Only way i fly.. if d2 takes the fun of running solo. It will Be the last time i play. I actually believe there is far more solo players then clans.. that is why bungie is trying to force clan play, which will be a mistake on there part

5 RepliesHey! I have had a much similar experience with D1. Everyone enjoyed the game until one day they all decided to just leave it behind in the dust. I had to level all by myself through all of destiny from House of Wolves release on. For D2, I started my own clan for the off chance that I meet some new people to raid with or whatever. Even if you don't have a formal "Clan" I believe you still contribute to the xp even if you are just soloing, so why not make one yourself as a solo so you can still reap the rewards?!? XD

1 ReplyI always do the campaign solo, and I prefer to run through as much of the game on my own first. You get a real immersive experience that isn't influenced by others over-hyping or downplaying something, and the biggest issue of people talking over the story is avoided.
-
1 ReplyI may be in a clan but I run everything besides the major activities solo, that being nightfalls, raids, etc. Everything else I'd just rather do by myself, including and especially PvP
-
1 ReplyI play solo mostly. I like to get shit done when I want and don't really like to rely on others for help. I'll do the end game crap with friends but I prefer to grind out the annoying stuff alone.
-
1 ReplyI'll almost definitely be solo like I was for 99.9% of D1. Coming up for 39 and from the UK and my play time is unpredictable so I'm not the most reliable person for clans - although I've never been in one for Destiny. Hell I think my last clan was in Star Wars Galaxies and before that the original Team Fortress Classic back in 99!

Edited by Ex-S-01: 8/27/2017 8:08:35 PMNa I don't think it's the end of the solo player while there is a bigger bias towards clans by the very existence of guided games it proves Bungie acknowledge the solo player. If your clans not going forward then D2 maybe a good time to find a new one or start one if want that experience. Personally I'll probably do a fair bit on my own then do it again with clan members and friends if and when they get it but at the moment the PC/PS4 divide is there plus like yourself family and general life. Edit: your a gamer that's exactly what we had in mind, age, location and anything else doesn't factor, well not for me anyway, gamers stand together

Other than raids and trials I do almost everything by myself

2 RepliesHey OP, I've been dealing with chronic depression and OCD for a while and I totally understand what you mean when you say "not fond of the mic" I was thinking that we could make a clan for people like us who can ask for help. I am sure we. Will find more people like us and I will surely back you up on this

Haha with my age at 40+ I hear you but solo players still have a live to live. If one was needed to gather for a raid who says one cannot. Even so being in a clan is said to be favourable due to shared loot or so bungie says. But what if a clan is made up of individuals who can gather for a raid or nightfall if it is needed. And share the loot with all who have gathered. What if a clan can become like that and have multiple fireteams to make a clan big. I think one should be able to. That is one of my thoughts when I created the Clan.

i always play destiny alone since none of my friends play it and i like to play alone, i just hope it will be more fun in destiny 2 as most things in destiny 1 need more players.
-
A mix of both. Some stuff solo, some with friends
-
1 ReplyIt's going to be hard running solo, especially in PvP. The have prioritized team-shooting so much.
-
I have an active clan full of great people whom I've spent the last 3 years making a lot of memories with, of course I'll be continuing with them and we'll help each other when needed but for the most part I've always been solo unless it's been a raid, nightfall or trials. However sometimes the banter is just too good to pass up, but for the first couple days I want to experience things without spoilers so we'll see.
-
I'm normally solo (as the name implies) and even with the extra incentive to be in a clan in this game, I still plan on being solo
-
If I end up getting it I'll be a solo player
-
For once, no.
