My clans decided not to continue as they've been taken over by family matters so it looks as though D2 will be a single experience..much like most of D1 was.
That's okay. Clans and I just don't fit together well...but..
It seems D2 is very much built on clans and the rewards all clan members get even if they aren't involved in end game activity.
Is this the end for solo players ?.
Thoughts ?.
Edit : Thank you for the kind invitations to join clans. I'm in the UK and 51 so might not be who you had in mind lol. I'm also Autistic so not exactly fond of mics or loud people in my ears!

I started a clan for casual players, no mic required. https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/Chat?groupId=2855090

1 ReplyIf your on the xbox one my clan would love to have ya.

Solo folks are welcome in my clan, no need to say boo or any interaction at all if you don't want. We'd appreciate the extra clan xp going into our banner and you can gain whatever benefits we end up opening. Fated Souls just shoot an invite, that goes for anyone ;).

1 Reply29 Members strong, and hoping to add you! Lone Wolvez United recruiting! This is a group for all the lone wolves who play consistently on PS4 and love the Destiny universe. Play as a lone wolf when you want to, but also have a pack willing and ready to assist you when called upon. We are a fast growing clan, and make the pledge to play frequently, be chill and have plenty of fun as we rack up clan rewards. This group is all about a providing a place where it's accepted for you to play as a lone wolf taking the game at your own pace, but also be connected with other wolves. General laws are, be respectful, be willing to help and be patient with those who are learning and gaining the skills to tackle the raids, crucible, nightfalls, etc. So if you're a lone wolf like me and you need an occasional pack to call on. Join! Now this is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky, And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk, the law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack. If you're wondering why lone wolvez would need to unite than you've obviously never played Destiny LOL!

I believe that D2 will be much more friendly to solo players than D1 was. I mostly played D1 solo and I'm looking forward to do the same with D2.

3 RepliesI usually always play solo, even though i would like to play with other people, but i dont have any friends who are also interested in destiny 2 : (
-
1 Replyhave fun

I always play solo, which kicks my ass in the end bc then I end up having to do strikes and raids that require more people that I lack. But I felt like I got a pretty good experience in D1 playing the game solo and working harder to avoid all that and play it for myself, by myself.
I still suck tho
4 RepliesEdited by epoch5555: 8/28/2017 6:49:15 PMI am an avowed soloist. I will play till it becomes apparent that bungie has once again screwed the soloist and then I will be through with bungie. I am giving the game a chance though. I just saw a video from bungie on Ytube hyping solo play. We will see.

1 ReplyI personally loved running D1 solo. I ran it that way for a long time, and when you're really immersed in the game it makes you feel pretty badass, kind of like a Lone Ranger going around killing space shit. I had a few friends who played the game but most of them stopped, either from not enjoying the game enough or other reasons, but I do have one or two who are likely going to play D2. I love the raids and when you get a fun group who you can enjoy the mission and have a laugh with, and obviously I won't be running those solo unless I want to torture myself, but I will likely play a lot of it solo. You're more than welcome to join my clan, it's not one of those ones where you have to be active 24/7 and always doing a mission with a group, I only really had it for the trophies in D1 and it'll likely be as laid back in D2 and only used for communication/required teamwork/etc.

Well... I'm always a solo but I have about 3 people who sometimes help me out. I honestly don't enjoy the stress of clans

Dredgen VonDon't save her - old
I played D1 solo up until TDB then I realized I might need to be social to get gear.
disnt even play the story of Destiny until TDB as well. All I did was play crucible and do strikes
-
My kids no longer play, I will be solo just as I was for the past year in Destiny.

3 RepliesI never knew just how many bad parents there are out there until I joined dads of destiny. I was shocked how many people will ignore their kids to play a stupid game that gives you nothing in real life. I was appalled every time I would join a raid with people I didn't know and listen in to what was happening in the background.
-
I'll be solo most of the time
-
12 Repliesi have kids that are autistic me and my friend made clan just for us. your free to join just to get clan rewards no need to interact with us
-
12 RepliesI play solo most of the times. My wife will play Destiny along side me at times. But she doesn't play as much as i do. I hate micing up with strangers myself. The hardest part is actually doing it. Once i start having a conversation, I'm fine though. I'm older too (50). I have a hard time when kids jump on with their radios blasting some crap from hell, all the while they are screaming at their little crying brother to shut up. Or you have 3 people telling me where to stand and all 3 places are diffrent. Then i listen to the 3 argue as to where i stand. Then the other guy decides he has to go. Now we wait for someone else to join. It just happens to be another 12 year old screaming. Thats why i solo only!

After D1 my friends also decided to stop playing the game. I am starting solo but hoping to find a good local clan by the time the raid is out.

1 ReplyThere's nothing wrong with playing solo but Destiny is designed to be played as part of a team. The Devs have always stressed that they want to encourage people to team up and make friends. Therefore, imo the only way to get the most out of the Destiny experience is to team up with others. All power to you but you should really consider finding another group to play with.

I’m going to run solo for the main campaign and then go back online once I’m ready to hear my buddies talk during cutscenes and so on lol. I like to take my time, explore and embrace a game but at times gaming with others can make that difficult.
-
There's guided games buddy, you can hook up with clans of your choosing without joining them.

1 ReplyEdited by Rayland_Givens_: 8/29/2017 4:51:14 PMSolo or not it's your game so enjoy it. Many people are just like this person and play solo. A reward system for clan members only seems short sighted.

1 ReplyEdited by undiiviidual: 8/29/2017 3:12:32 AMGame is best played with friends in my opinion.
-
Also will be running solo
-
Yeah solo play will be less advantage. Best to just join a clan for the bonuses. Especially if your not really a clan person but this game is built on teamwork so I dont see why not. Warm up to it. It will be worth your while.
