Fireborn is the best ability in D1. Hands down!
WoL is pretty darn close but Fireborn will always rule the roost.

Nobody has ever spilled tears or quit the game because a Warlock revived. Fusion grenades, on the other hand...

Fireborn is only good if you're bad at the game. I don't really believe in "the best" because different things excel in different situations, but if forced I'd probably say that the best ability is [i]Light of the Pack[/i].
