I've been playing since the start, I've done everything I want to maybe give or take a few minor unimportant things, I've gone platinum, and the past few years of this game have been great. I stopped playing the game recently, mainly because the combination of a school holiday lining up with the release of Age of Triumph meant I really burned myself out, but I will still hop back in during the last couple of weeks to say goodbye.
I will miss playing it, there's just so many memories attached to it wether it be a memory from the game or a memory of something that happened because of it. I was looking over some gameplay from year 1, and it gave me so much nostalgia. Although they won't be able to perfectly capture that feeling of wonder and discovery from the start of D1 seeing as it's a sequel,I hope bungie manage to get close to it.

3 RepliesKeep playing it. If D2 sucks as much a the beta would indicate, no need to stop.
-
1 ReplyI'm already missing Destiny 1 year 1.
-
1 ReplySame. I am however, very optimistic about D2. I can't wait until Sept. 6!!
-
8 RepliesDude it's not going away. When D2 comes out D1 is still going to be playable. So stop being so damn melodramatic.
-
I used to be like you...obsessed with destiny but now I really can't even stand looking at it. If I loaded into patrol or a strike I would vomit
-
I miss special ammo

5 RepliesHere's an idea stay there and the rest of us will go to D2 :)

Same, will definitely miss the feeling after helping 5 people through a new raid XD, difficult af.

Edited by Skyline: 8/7/2017 10:27:25 PMI definitely will miss that first time feeling of finally beating VOG and every other raid but Year 1 I will always miss. Best year of Destiny I had. The year 1 grind was so painful but so rewarding. I hope to see the same thing in D2 PvE. I want difficult things in PvE.

I miss Hypercolor shirts... Kids of the 80's will remember.

I won't. I'm gonna love not getting one hit by shoulder charges
-
I'm not going to miss it.

I'll miss it, I've had a blast playing since the game came out. I've met a bunch of awesome people and have great memories of the experiences. Looking forward to D2 now.. probably most looking forward to running the campaign. Starting a new character and doing the story for the first time is always fun to me.
-
Wait til you get to play more if d2. D1 is going to seem like the best game ever.
-
Asides from Year 2, I shall greatly miss this game too. I still remember the raid buzz/grind in Year 1, it was so exciting and the first time Aethon melted away was truly memorable!
-
1 ReplyI'll miss certain phases in the D1 lifecycle, but I won't miss what it has become now.
-
I'm still going to be playing D1. My only regret is I didn't get year one 😥😥😥
-
Edited by BlackndRanch: 8/7/2017 1:16:59 PMI won't, the game's fun-factor was neutered so much in order to satisfy a vocal minority, with Bungie completely ignoring the community's actual requests.
And I ain't getting D2.
2 RepliesI'm not. I'm ready for new shit. This is still destiny. New and improved.
-
1 ReplyThe lack of content was real and the repitition was ridiculous.
