...because it ruined D1 for me. Now when I log into D1 I go to the tower and just stand there. I have zero motivation to play D1 at all now.
The BETA is to blame for this. I know that this seems to be a unpopular opinion around here, but I really enjoyed what I was able to play in the BETA. I am seriously looking forward to D2 now. So much so, that it completely annihilated my desire to do anything at all in D1.
Am I the only one, I wonder?

not alone at all....I enjoyed what they gave us, and look forward to D2. Nothing felt as solid going back to D1. I also enjoy the fact that there is a lot of new to learn and experience, places to explore, secrets to unlock; and I'm eager for all of it. I hope the tons of people posting here don't cause undue change in a game that they know so little about, and those of us who enjoy are able to bring out an epic sequel.

PC MASTER RACE!

Same here. Except I hope I never played the beta because now I'm not looking forward to D2 and hoping that this whole thing is a dream and bungie r about to announce another DLC for D1 instead of D2 coming out.

The day the beta ended I played a match in D1 and it was simply awful. I need D2 back. Lol
-
I am very, very glad I played the D2 beta. If I hadn't I would be believing all this negativity and hate, I would not have my own experiences that say the beta was fun and that it does get me hyped for D2.
-
Nope. D1 PvP feels like complete butt after grinding out the beta. Really goes to show you how ability based D1 is. You can seriously have zero gun skill and still be a good player. It's a joke lol
-
I'm not playing either. I'm just fidget spinning until release!
-
Amen to that brother! I wish they extended the beta till launch.
-
2 RepliesI'm with you. I don't have the motivation to do anything in D1 besides getting my weekly boxes.
-
Why keep typing beta in all caps? Makes it seem like your really pissed off. Like whenever you say beta your yelling instead of normal talk
-
Logs in. Looks at characters. No motivation. Logs out. Just loads into the D2 Beta title screen and stares at it while listening to the music.

Edited by Penkuwin: 7/30/2017 3:43:40 AMI stopped playing not long after ApT. Why grind gear when you won't have it in D2
-
I am the same way, I lost total interest in D1. I guess I will play Witcher 3 till D2 comes out.
-
I just run around witha winged word and pop heads off bc i sniped in the beta and it's so much easier in destiny 1
-
You can scream until you are blue in the face trying to tell them what is about to happen but they don't listen to you it like your watching a 25000000 car pile up and you can't look away ......... don't get so stressed it going to happen anyway
-
Same. My life has a whole in it ever since Bungie took D2 away. hahaha
-
I enjoyed it too, you're not alone...just people crying is all.
-
I played with my hunter today, shadesteped and wondered why my gun didn't reload.
-
I still have friends I met in D1 beta .. D2 beta ... nothing . I still enjoyed it I do hope though that there's a lot more and if one of the patrol locations has SRL turbines and VOG disappearing steps well I'll be pissed that's all been done before .
-
I'm not really playing because the population is pretty low. I go back just once a day to shoot things with the hawkmoon.

Edited by zNapSack: 7/30/2017 2:14:10 AMYou're far from alone as far as your perception of D1. I'm sure many came to the same realization some time ago. That said, if you're satisfied with what you achieved in D1, then you're in a good place. If you feel you could've done more then strive to accomplish more in D2. It's often hard to leave what we know and are intimately familiar, because in D1 for example, we're 'somebody'. We're intimately familiar with that world and we're powerful. In D2 that feeling won't immediately exist and we'll have to attain it again by completing various missions and tasks. Remember the past and what you learned from it and use that experience and knowledge to guide you through the next adventure. Besides, if you've done a given strike or raid hundreds of times don't you think it's time for something new? >;)

I too have lost all desire. Only because everything in destiny is completely irrelevant now.
