I wish I never played the BETA for D2
...because it ruined D1 for me. Now when I log into D1 I go to the tower and just stand there. I have zero motivation to play D1 at all now.
The BETA is to blame for this. I know that this seems to be a unpopular opinion around here, but I really enjoyed what I was able to play in the BETA. I am seriously looking forward to D2 now. So much so, that it completely annihilated my desire to do anything at all in D1.
Am I the only one, I wonder?

I wish i never played destiny 2 beta, because it was worse than destiny 1 at the moment and destiny 1 was a huge waste of time and money... ps. Thanks bungie for making sticky nades, icebreaker and wormwood op and stealing all that special ammo that was usefull.

I was struggling to find a reason to play before the beta pretty much killed d1 for me after I played. Oh well only a month or so to go.

Nah, you're not alone, I had to restart my Warlock after the beta to keep D1 interesting, very frequently I find myself missing the Sentinel's captain america shield, or raining down pain with the dawn blade and the awesome animations of the Arkstrider...even the little things like the ledge climb...yeah, missed it real bad the other day when my toes clipped a ledge and i had to watch myself slowly fall past the ledge... Seems to be the unpopular choice (although i really don't see why) yeah it needs some tweaking but overall i enjoyed it too.

3 RepliesStupid post. Destiny 1 Beta was way better than this Destiny 2 "Beta." Thought Bungie was suppossed to give us a better beta after THREE years. Story is shit, we are going to have to get The Speaker who got kidnapped and were OBVIOUSLY going to face Cabal. Smh. THREE YEARS AND NOT A SINGLE EXPLANATION WHY TF THE TRAVELED SPIT OUT GHOSTS!

5 RepliesIt's hard to play new fresh content and then go back to the same stale stuff you've been playing for the last three years. Trigger warning. Unpopular opinion below: [spoiler]Plus D2 just felt bigger, better and prettier to me. From the UI to the worlds, to the gunplay - everything felt a little slicker (despite all the balance issues and cooldowns etc.). September can't come soon enough. [/spoiler]

Felt depressed for the whole hour of the beta I played, then I went back to D1 and thought "This game plays so smooth compared to that trash beta."

Same here I slowed down hard core when betta was like a month out Niw ever since the betta ended I pulled emergency break on D1 can't do it But sept 6 will be here so soon time flys by so quick so Guardians see ya in D2

The past 3 years i was so full of anticipation to get home and play destiny. Since the beat its gone totally.... On friday i also saw the trials map and i knew i wont play destiny this weekend. Im Taking a break from it and return on destiny 2. The beta was so good , i cant handle destiny 1 anymore now

I found final fantasy xiv and it's a great game, I doubt D2 will drag me away from it, I barely gave the beta 5 mins of my time.

1 ReplyWell the beta was depressing. From what I've heard it was a old build of destiny 2. Third strike is severe lack of pve and over use of PvP once again. At least destiny had a full patrol, a few strikes, and a few other things.

4 RepliesMy guardian has been resting for a while on the beach somewhere. He made his place long ago and was able to claim the gear he wanted to finish his send off. I've been playing since the beta, and my only possible regret is never finishing the Wrath of the Machine. The closest I've come to finishing destiny(minus the trials...), is being the last remaining guardian in my fireteam, using my only remaining bullets in my hand cannon, laying headshot after headshot to the Lord of Siva, Aksis, with only having a very tiny sliver of his health bar remaining next to nothing, but didn't make it. I thought i could finish it before the 1st, but it feels as far as possible from me now, but I'm cool with it🤙 I'm ready for Destiny 2, and loved the hell out of Destiny. Regardless of what anyone says about D2... For me, it's going to Kick. Ass. I'll be waiting on the other side. - Z

Oh hell yeah I needed 1 skirmish victory to get the grumpier to get to 5000 and after d2 crucible fighting against teams of sweaty tryhards with nlbs and fusion grenades was pure cancer

3 RepliesDon't worry, you'll be tired of destiny 2 when 3 comes out next year. Good thing is no need to farm or build up guardian since it's just like any other game. Worked for call of duty I guess. The addiction is finally broken, thank you bungie from releasing us from the spell you cast on us

I wish they never told anyone all your gear would hit the dumpster as early as they did. Took a good deal of the kick you get out of a new gun or armour right out of it.

Stopped when D2 was announced with no carry over, what's the point. This weeks Iron Banner is just going to be pointless.

Before D2 launches, I'm going into the D1 Crucible with my old friend Sunsinger, and have a sticky 'nade fest one last time. I'll bag and dance on corpses as if there was no tomorrow. Never gotten a hatemail in Destiny PvP. It's time to achieve this goal.
