We never said much in d1...but it added to the depth of the character..in my opinion.......not like the few lines would have cost bungie a mint anyway.....

Bungie could pull off another "I need a weapon" moment. They could have the guardian be silent most of the time but not completely. That way, the few things they do say can potentially have more impact assuming they say something cool or important.
