I looked at my achievements, and apparently, less than 20% of people have completed a raid. Guided games is a good thing, because now everyone can experience true fun in Destiny 2. How much of the community has completed a raid on PSN?
Edit: Trending boiz and grils!

Looking forward to Guided Games. My two friends and I have always wanted to go for a raid, but never had the manpower.

less than 20% of people have completed a raid... now everyone can experience true fun in Destiny 2
So what was holding back the 82.4% of players who never completed a Titan subclass? Because there were no such barriers in place preventing them from doing so, yet still 'less than 20%' of people have completed one. The fact that so few people have done raids isn't accessibility, it's laziness. Only 22.7% of players (on PSN) have maxed out an Exotic weapon, and only 26.6% have equipped a Legendary/Exotic in every armour/weapon slot. So will Guided Games make a difference? Not at all. People bitch and moan that D1 never had matchmaking, therefore they didn't do a raid, yet 75% of players didn't even bother to get equipped for a raid, so why should their opinions hold any weight at all?

1 ReplyI don't care how many people raid. If they had fun just patrolling and doing the story I'm happy for them. It bothers me a bit that the raids are by far the best content. They are not designed for the average or solo gamer. Vault is the best gaming experience I've ever had. It saddens me that raid entry is dependent on other players, and reaching high levels. Only because bungie had the talent and opportunity to make the story and patrols just as groundbreaking as vault of glass, while being accessible to all who paid bungie money.

Idk i finished what 3 raids all of d1 its not that i couldnt do them its more of only doing them with a friend or 2 which being the dick he is he do it every week at reset 3x before i got off work xD

1 ReplyI love Destiny2

4 RepliesBungie will not release real numbers, just as UbiSoft will not for the 'The Division' of course. So this is all guess work. However, using my friends list... as a model for estimation... only 15 to 20% of my friends have attempted a raid in D1. And only 5% have completed a raid. If my friend list is representative of the general population? Ouch. Worse, is that only 10% of my total friends list still play Destiny in year 3, and of that 10% only 2% plan to purchase or play D2. Again is this is true presentation? Ouch!

The raids of Destiny is the main reason I play Destiny.

4 RepliesThat's why my Grimoire is low; because I've only done VOG once....but I prefer spending 4 or 5 hours with my family instead of sitting on my ass going through one activity. Maybe D2 raids will be different for me.

14 RepliesI completed vault of glass with a very nice bunch og guardians. They didn't seem to care if I fracked up. In fact they played so funny pranks on me. Like telling to use a rocket Launcher to get rid of the force field like bubble. Or guiding me to my death when I couldn't see. Telling me I could distract the Georgians by walking past them. Felt like I was part of a team and contributing towards the end goal. They explained bits I didn't understand and where friendly. I had a fun time. But then there was the groups that I joined to do Crota. Swearing under their breath because I didn't wipe at the exact moment they wanted to cheat their way across the bridge. Telling me to stand in corner and not to move. Then moaning when I died. Getting me to stand in a differant corner. Telling me to fire rockets on Crota on the second fire command. Then bitching because I didn't fire on the first. Generally not explaining anything. Didn't feel like a part of the team. Then dispersing to come back later to finish it. The second experience is the one I have had happen to me the most. So dont bother with raids. Just end up leaving them on a low and the feeling it was a waste of time.

1 ReplyI feel like finding a raid group or experiencing a raid in general you have to put in some work. If you don't have experience, watch some videos on the mechanics. Can't find a group? I know there's a ton of lfg posts requesting ridiculous requirements but there are groups out there willing to Sherpa you just need to find them. The unfortunate part is I've ran some raids with people who had no intentions of learning mechanics and just wanted to be carried, whereas there's the people out there who have put in the work and can't find a group at all.

1 ReplyHere's how it's going to go in D2. The people that have friends and clans will continue on like they always have and ocassionally bring on a random if they need to fill a slot. The majority of the people that didn't raid in D1 will try to get matchmade through the new "guided games" function, do terribly and be booted. A small % of those people will do well and they'll get friend requests and clan invites. Eventually the system will re-stabilize to basically the same way it was in D1 where people with friends and clans raid together and a bunch of randoms end up using LFG. That's my prediction.

Have a few completions. Clan fell apart after house of wolves and I've got the absolute worst luck with lfging a team. Hopefully guided games works well. Fingers crossed

87 RepliesIf raids are not easier in D2, I will not play them. They are not worth the effort of finding a group and spending hours on an activity with failure waiting at the end of the session. Here is an interesting achievement stat currently on Xbox Live: Splicer God Complete the "Wrath of the Machine" on heroic difficulty. Only 2.78% of gamers unlocked this The completion rate for Normal mode is somewhere in the single digit range. Just imagine how low the completion rate is for 390 raids!

6 RepliesThe ones that don't complete raids are either anti social and have no friends, suck so bad no one is willing to tolerate them, are really annoying (mostly kids), or they got butt hurt from 1 or 2 bad raid groups and just never bothered trying again. I for one feel this whole Guided Games thing is going to be horrific. Especially if you get stuck with people who don't have mics, aren't willing to listen, or can't seem to stay alive long enough to carry any weight. If you wanna raid join a team or build a team and go f*cking raid, put the time and effort in and you will learn it and get good enough at it that you don't need to be carried all the time. All that being said there are just some people who have no business being in a Raid due to incompetence. I've carried and Sherpa'd countless Raids and there have been about 8 or so people that after hours and multiple attempts during different raids and weeks that I've straight up told never again. I have plenty of patience and 90% of the Raids I Sherpa'd for people have gotten done. Some people just make it absolutely impossible. Guided Games is a Horrible Idea... Begrudgingly I'll give it a few tries but I'm not expecting much.
-
11 RepliesFirst is it 50% or 20%? I would say 50% of people who play this game don't have thumbs therefore can't complete a raid.
-
The ones that never completed a raid were those who launched the game and 5 days later noticed there was no story.

1 ReplyEdited by Demon_XXVII: 7/31/2017 12:25:35 AMIt would help if Guardians were more friendly Maybe leave the Fireteam open, and if someone waves.......acknowledge the greeting You might even be doing the same bloomin' task/quest/story My pet hate is Guardians who sit and watch (not even a shot) when I'm getting my ass kicked by a Cabal/Taken/Hive Champion/Petra timed event/enemy fight against each other.....(Urzok you B%$~H), or the Court of Oryx/Prison Of Elders Might be nothing that helps me, but I will still help others defeat whatever they seem to be battling!

29 RepliesEdited by Zero the Remnant: 7/29/2017 3:03:43 PMIt's abysmally low. I believe for Destiny the stat trackers have it that across both consoles around the time of D2 reveal only (not accurate just going off a recent article) about 5 or 8% have stepped/loaded into a raid. Where as, only 2% have completed a Raid. Hence why Bungie at the reveal had to inflate their numbers/make it sound higher by saying: "Only 50% of players who reached Max Light have Raided." That statement alone is VERY vague & makes Raids sound mpre played than they were. If this were WoW or FF14. I'd blame the community for creating artificial barriers & limiting others. But that is because those games have BOTH a Looking for Group Tool (For those who dislike MM) & Optional Matchmaking in-game. Destiny 1 has neither. It is unacceptable. Blizzard told Bungie that there is no "MMO-Light". You're all in or all out. MMO elements are not flexible in many aspects. But like with separating PVE & PVP. Bungie like a new manager at a job, thinks that it can do what those with extreme & copeous amounts of experience in the field could not. D2 should have both a LFG Tool & Optional MM in-game period. There is honestly NO excuse for it. While many will defend Guided Games & etc....let's cut the crap. This isn't a "opinion battle" this is standard protocol. Games that are MMO in nature have Optional MM & LFG Tools period just like how they have MM for PVP matches, UI for settings, mechanics for bosses. Guided Games will help but it is a half-assed LFG no matter how they spin it. Guided Games is Bungie passing the buck to Guilds/Clans. It's Clan Recruitment disguised as LFG. Why Bungie refuses to at the very minimum put in a true LFG in-game? No one knows. It is upsetting because D2 was an opportunity to: - Use a New and/or Better Engine for the game. - Use New and/or better Netcode for various features. - Retune CBMM & SBMM to a healthy equality. - Seperate PVE & PVP. - Develop in-game UI/Tools for activities such as: LFG, Vote Kick, Map Voting, Strike Voting, etc But nope. It was built from the ground up for 1 focus (Not going into that topic), everything else...a side-show. Starting to rant so... Aerikx, signing off. Edit: Clarified that I meant in-game.

2 RepliesMy problem is I get a fireteam going then if we mess up once everyone leaves. Like we were on Warpriest once and we wiped. Then this one dude tells we suck and leaves. Then everyone else leaves too until it's me and one of my friends. That happens or you will get the brain dead incompetent people. One guy had the brand in Kingsfall before Warpriest and started to run to mid with it. I can except a few mistakes but honestly could you watch a tutorial or something before doing this. And before people start swarming yes we did brief him and this we did try and correct him and no he didn't mend his ways after 5 wipes

I have done all of the raids available a multitude of times, hardest problem I've encountered is getting a team that are all able to spend the time, there's a lot of people in different TZs, other commitments bind us, rl before online, etc. But on that note if there is anyone that does want to raid, I am happy to sherpa, psn same as above. GMT +0.

3 RepliesI've done the vault and got in on only partials of a couple other raids. It is a frustrating process to say the least. When I do a raid, I want time to explore and take it all in my first time through, rather than being rushed by those who have already done it a zillion times. On this week's Finding Fireteams: ------------------------------------------------------------- You sit down to relax for once (a well deserved break, since you been "on-the-go" a lot lately. Destiny opens and you think "Hey, I've got some free time for once. I should try one of those raid things. You spend a decent amount of time trying to find a group, where you meet their requirements (light level, class, mic, previously having done the raid, hard mode)... Great! You finally find a group, it's on! O...wait.. it turns out everyone in the group is fireteam leader and they all talk over each other. The result of this for a raid noob = "instructions unclear". This leads to their frustration at you, nerfing your morale level. Finally, somehow, you all learned to effectively communicate an hour later and it's time for phase two... "I have to go. I have to work in the morning." One player chimes in. "Aah, yep. I've been playing all day. I'm headed to bed." Adds another. Cool. Half the team bails. You and the remaining two players spend another 20-30 minutes trying to find fill in teammates, which never comes to fruition, so everyone calls it a night. You wake up in the morning, go to work, come home, do your chores, cook and go to bed early, exhausted after being up later than normal the night before. The following day, you've forgotten about the raid. Before you realize it, the weekly reset happens. You consider spending another 30-45 minutes finding a new raid group for the week. Then realize, it's just not worth your time and effort, for the minimal sense of achievement you gain from your struggle. You go on reddit and browse r/dogberg (great sub, if you haven't checked it out), which leaves you feeling much more gratified.

2 RepliesWhat I liked is how bungie said it would be too hard for randoms to complete a raid, that's why they left out matchmaking. Then everyone just comes to the forums to make raid teams with randoms. Glad they changed that in D2 one of the dumbest things they did was leave out matchmaking for certain events and they have done plenty of dumb things.

*bunch of ants.... RAID?!?

1 ReplyI always did LFG and yes I had my bad days but I got them all done. Aksis was the hardest and then Oryx. Just had to find the right blend of people. Oryx back in the day somehow I remember 5 manning him when challenge first came out. Experiences I loved and was a lot of fun and disappointment as well.
