It's a huge blanket nerf to every single aspect of d1. Movement, guns, abilities, health, etc....
Yay "fun"
*edit: wow This is trending
*edit 2: also lets not forget that there is ZERO customization In regards to weapons, armor loadout/tiers. It could be just the beta but there is definitely no customization within each subclass.

4 RepliesI do not like the two primary wep slots at all. Was bored very quickly. This was a terrible idea as it stands now.
-
1 ReplyAs a warlock main, what they did to the class jump is ludicrous. It is so bad that I'm honestly going to have to consider changing classes, which is the last thing I want to do. Please....please just change how the jumps behave back.
-
I completely disagree. It's just that if you want to play a certain way, you have to know exactly what you are doing. You can't just pick up a playstyle and be successful with it like you could in D1. Sure teamshot is powerful, but that doesn't mean everything else is weak, you just have to know how to play your playstyle.

I don't necessarily dislike it, but I kind of expected something more?..anyways, limited edition is getting bumped down to standard
-
Wouldn't know, error messages within the first minute. After 3 years you'd think bungie would fix the problems.
-
Here's what I know about the beta. I'm having fun. And it makes me want more. That's it.

1 ReplyThis is an old beta!!!!! Final game will be dufferent!!! Read the this week at Bungie or whatever it's called!!! ( this goes for all the haters)

12 RepliesIt's really fun. Feels more like halo now

Edited by Dr Leo 92: 7/22/2017 5:40:09 AMD2 feels like a new version of halo

tried the strike mission, boss fight was hard, guess that is to be expected... i didnt try pvp, not my thing... overall i thought the weapons needed to be a tad stronger, but not much... was confused on the character customization, and the new powers... but didnt hate the new powers... jury is still out for me,...

Edited by DooDooFart: 7/22/2017 5:06:07 AMPve for me is decent, not as good as destiny 1. Pvp is okay, idc about pvp

1 ReplyBUT THERES LEDGE GRABBING YOU GUYS! LEDGE GRABBING! WHAT A GAME-CHANGER AM I RIGHT!?

5 RepliesIt's not the current build of the game btw

Tomorrow I am going to make a true comparison. I will load up the Strike in the beta and run it with a striker. Then I will load up a strike in D1 and play it as a striker. I will then compare my feelings. And probably make a post about it. And maybe a video.

9 RepliesI'm not disagreeing with you, I feel the same way mostly but you seem to be missing one very important point in your assessment. It is a BETA. It is a chance for you to test an unfinished, unpolished game with less than top tier gear and at most a couple of days off playtime to get used to the new way things work. It isn't the end of the world, it's just a beta.

Edited by POWERTRIP: 7/21/2017 3:33:10 PMI agree. I think they have the right idea by making grenades and supers less powerful. So you don't constantly get one shot by grenades or have a super last for a full minute wiping out you entire team with ease (hammers, stormlock, cough cough). However, we want to use our abilities in Destiny right? Supers, grenades, special melee's, cool jumping skills. This is why Destiny was a huge hit. It makes you feel powerful and it's FUN to play. I say keeping the grenades and supers a little less OP is fine, but I shouldn't be finishing an entire game without using a super and only throwing 3 grenades. Final thought, I'm ok with TTK on weapons, but if they stay this way then I would remove most of the recoil, flinch, bloom, etc. that they currently have. This way even though my weapons do less damage, the gunplay will still feel good because I'm hitting my shots and rewarding for good aim.

2 RepliesThing is DLC is not what changes the mechanics of the game, which is the topic here, it's just more content, so it's not getting better in terms of how the game works cuz what we got on our hands here is D1 with all the nerfs that everyone wanted, so I don't think D1 was getting better as time passed by, more like it was fun for a few seconds with the DLC they were giving us, but the alpha & beta of D1 was basically Destiny 1
-
I agree. what have they done to destiny? They dumbed it down and took away the ability for us to play and customize our characters the way we want. the graphics are great. but after playing the beta, I feel they have taken a huge step backwards. I don't think I'll be buying destiny 2 for a while until they hear more player responses and tweak the game. Sucks to be disappointed in a game that I love playing. I'll keep raiding in Destiny 1 for a while longer.

Its a shame how the focus on pvp feels that it killed pve this time for real... although the strike is alright, and mission is cool, the fun is gone with the limit of power ammo and abilities being weak and taking forever to charge, it just felt dull, couldnt replay them like I used to in d1...hopefully they fix this on the main game. Pvp is alright, but could take some weapon adjustments like usual. movement isnt nerf like ppl says, its more like they realized that in d1 focusing on agility or on shield or regen, didnt show a huge difference, now it does, and thats a good change imo

6 RepliesJust played the beta for the first time. I played the story and 3 games of crucible. First impression is why did you ruin my favourite game. I will get back on tomorrow and give it another chance but it I feels so different. Not impressed at all.
-
Not finished yet.
-
It makes me laugh that bungie is going backwards instead of forward I knew something like this would happen it like they can't help themselves without screwing up. to much pvp crap running around inside there heads🙄
-
8 RepliesThe community ruined Destiny not Bungie. Everyone cries for a nerf they get it and it -blam!- Bungie
-
It's a huge blanket nerf to every single aspect of d1. Movement, guns, abilities, health, etc.... Yay "fun"
It's every bodies fault for complaining about imbalance in Destiny . So D2 is the game that the community created. So now nothing's "op" or even good

1 ReplyPlaying through the story mission felt like a chore to me. Hopefully the rest of the campaign will be more interesting.
