I want new things, but I don't think the old planets should be removed. Why can we not go to those places anymore?
Some re-skin is certainly expected. I have no problem with the enemy races being the same. Why wouldn't they be? This is the same universe.
Also, the idea of a continuation of a game series is that it should build on what came before, not scrap it all and do something different. They are completely scrapping the story from Destiny 1 and moving on to something else... That is bad game design for a series that is supposed to be based on a cinematic storytelling experience. The story should, you know, continue.
People have good reasons for being upset at some of these things. Saying they are being ridiculous or whiny doesn't do anyone a favor and certainly doesn't help the series become better.

I'll reply to this the same as I replied to another response: If you think about these forums and way people (not all obviously) act, you'd have to excuse Bungie for not knowing what to do. Especially in regards to Destiny 2 there have been many, many posts complaining that they've changed things, and people don't like it. There are people saying Destiny 2 is a reskin, and they don't like it. There are people saying to nerf weapons and grenades (stickies) in Destiny 2 without actually knowing anything about how it's actually changed. The forums are schizophrenic and that is what my post is reflecting. It's getting way more people liking it than not, so... There's that.
