Destiny had one raid at launch as well.
Not sure what you problem is here...

My problem is that I'm not sure one piece of end-end game content is enough. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I'm surprised at how many people thought Vanilla Destiny was fine as is as far as content goes.
-
Well in the first case, who said it's the only end-game content? But more importantly, nobody knows anything about it right now. How challenging it will be, how long it will take, replayability, how soon it will be until the next new raid, etc. Nothing. At least learn something about it before jumping to conclusions.

My good sir/ma'am, I'm not jumping to conclusions. I was simply hoping for more than one raid. I enjoyed VoG in Vanilla. However, it did become a bit tiring after a spell.
-
Which evidences that your worries are based on jumping to conclusions because you have no information or experience about the new raid.
-
I know, I know. The reveal just lacked that "wow" moment for me.

That's fine, but as always, people shouldn't jump to conclusions about a raid they barely know a thing about. That's how false opinions are formed. If you don't think about it now and wait until you learn something, then you can assess it with a more open and rational mind. Actually determine what the real pros and cons are vs imagined ones.
