I only got into Soul Calibur at V. Tried IV once, but barely.
I do think V is great, though. It's what got me into fighting games.
Ironically I'm more into 2D fighters, though. :p

First one I played was 2 on the original Xbox and GameCube. As for 2d fighters I personally enjoyed king of fights and SNK vs capcom a lot. I wanted to try skullgirls but not sure on it.

Skullgirls is [i]amazing[/i]! Granted, I don't know every fighter out there, as I got into the genre relatively recently, but it's definitely my favorite!

Worth the $10 or should I wait on a steam sale?

I spent $60 on it, if that's any indication. [spoiler]$10 for 360 version $20 on character DLC ($30) $5 on extra colors DLC ($35) And $25 for the PS4 2nd Encore version ($60)[/spoiler] Don't regret a penny, even though I don't touch the 360 version anymore. I think I spent about $8 in merchandise, too? Might've been $10.
