So I usually play a couple of matches of trials with some other friends during the weekend and we run stacked as that's what playing trials is made for, having the bet team possible to compete. So we end up matching another person who at the time was streaming (not going to disclose the name) and they were doing a carry. As you would expect because we are stacked we had them up 3-0 almost 4-0 when I get a msg saying "back out, this guy paid for a carry" from one of the opposing players. Needless to say we 5-0ed them and bagged them the whole time as they were doing paid carries and told us to back out. If you aren't good enough to carry don't take someone's money and say you can. Don't take their money at all, just help them for gods sake.
EDIT: Hey guys didn't think this was gonna blow up but I guess good? I'm back to clear some misconceptions. When I say stacked I meant that I ran with a squad of really good players that I often play with meaning good team chemistry and good gun skill.
Another thing some people are saying I should have let them win, the issue is that he revived money for something he can't actually do and expects others to help him get said money for nothing in exchange. This is a game, not a escort service. If it was a friend of mine I would have backed out as I know them and trust them.
EDIT EDIT: So a lot of people see me as "scummy" for running stacked. The truth is they are my friends and they're good too. I play to play not for Elo or kd (sometimes I do) but I like the aspect of the game and playing with good people. I assume tho that running stacked is frowned upon because I play with friends? Let me go bring up 2 random lfg players and constantly loose.

22 RepliesEdited by amandajc808: 4/17/2017 8:19:02 AMEither way, some poor sod paid for that carry, I'm not saying I agree with it, I don't. Personally I don't do pvp anymore, I don't enjoy it, and I am bad at it anyway, but if I was on your team I would have just backed out. What is there you need at this stage from trials to keep going and wreck their chances? I'm not talking about the dick that took money to 'carry' but the other guy.

2 RepliesI ran all three of my characters to the lighthouse this week with people I met on LFG. It's not hard to find good players.

Stacked lol

I have to applaud you. Thanks for doing this, I believe paying for carries is the same as cheating. Going flawless should be for the best players and paying for just diminishes it's worth. I haven't played trials mainly because I can't get 2 other players on at the same time, I refuse to use lfg for this and I absolutely refuse to pay to be carried.

2 RepliesDepending on how much he paid him, I wonder what it would look like in court if the guy got his identity and sued him for the money back. The judge's reaction to the whole thing would be priceless.

1 ReplyI'm so burnt out of Destiny pvp. It's the same bullsjit lag, the same maps, the same conversation in game even .... EVERY TIME. On a side note I ran a card drunk last night. I didn't tell my friend that I was drunk. It didn't go very well. Lmao.

2 RepliesSame happened to me this weekend. Im terrible at pvp but some friends are playing with me trying to help me get flawless first time. My friend had a message to back out they were carrying some one to the light house first time and we checked stats as we usally do to see what we were up against and one of the players had stats very similar to mine. Thing was it wasent a carry it was an account recovery. You can tell by the way the way he was playing. We were unlucky and lost our mercy and the game after that.......... never mind. But the cheek of it. Ive never been but i dont send pity messages begging to let me go. If i get it its on my own back with people i play with. I must say i also encountered one group that sent hate messages and came into our party and hurled abuse and challeneged us to private games. Needleslesy to say they got reported. We also took the. Up on thier offer of a private game which to no surprise they backed out of party instantly. What is with this nonsence at the moment.

Matched some kid a while ago in Trials... This guy used to be a friend of mine, but he pretty much got a huge ego and became an asshole so yeah.... Well anyways, I match him in Trials after a few months of not talking, we're winning 3-0, I bagged him every round (lol) then he messages me telling me to let him win cos I already went Flawless that week. Like, I face palmed so hard...

So, a lesser skilled player adapted, like all humans do, and got to the lighthouse anyway? They probably got to the lighthouse afterwards despite the lighthouse being a place that wasn't meant for them. Bungie's words, not mine. Huh, who would have thought?! Yeah, Trials isn't broken or anything, when streamers are carrying lesser skilled players to a lighthouse that wasn't MADE for them anyway. That makes complete sense. *cringe*

Good deal man. This game and everything about it has gone way past overrated

16 RepliesA stacked team is a team of Ash primes and loki primes on a Spy sortie. A stacked team is a rep 15 Warden, Rep 23 Valkyrie, Rep 19 Shugoki and a rep 30 Kensei. A stacked team is a full team of Grand masters in Overwatch Destiny is no place for a stacked team, With many weapons being shit to post "God tier" Due to bungie's Team of wanna be Torbjorns that can't balance a damn see-saw. Why even give this attention?

People still wanna pay for flawless, doesn't sound so "flawless" to me.

Edited by tOX1Cx23: 4/17/2017 11:38:01 AMWow people are still paying to get things done for them in this game while Destiny 2 is just around the corner.. Must have money to burn

1 ReplyI love this. Paid carries stink. Skill for the win!

18 RepliesEdited by Deazy: 4/17/2017 3:25:41 AMWhy run the game stacked, there is nothing from the lighthouse that you need or should even want at this point. If I saw through trials report that the paid carry had never been flawless I would of left if the team was doing a carry and especially if he asked. (not told me too, but asked) It is what it is, trials loot is sought after by alot of people who pay actual cash for it, spend time watching streams for a chance at a raffle etc. Trials is AIDS just for the fact that it is that way, but Im not against people making money off it, which is better than just sitting on your azz playing the game itself.

Edited by Junglist Al: 4/17/2017 7:32:04 AMGreat job tbagging them, I woulda done the exact same thing :)

18 RepliesPlease post the streamers name here so we can publicly humiliate them.

Bungies fault for having such a poor Trials system in place. There should be a level system that once you have been to the lighthouse you move up a level so allowing people who have never been a chance to do it legitimately without lag switchers and pro try hard streamer carrying them. I gave up trying and yes I suck at PVP most of the time All Trials has become is a commercial money making system for players to make money or boost their Twich/Youtube figures

6 RepliesAm I the only one in this game that is great at trials but not as great in reg 6v6?

An appropriate reaction to the situation.
