So I usually play a couple of matches of trials with some other friends during the weekend and we run stacked as that's what playing trials is made for, having the bet team possible to compete. So we end up matching another person who at the time was streaming (not going to disclose the name) and they were doing a carry. As you would expect because we are stacked we had them up 3-0 almost 4-0 when I get a msg saying "back out, this guy paid for a carry" from one of the opposing players. Needless to say we 5-0ed them and bagged them the whole time as they were doing paid carries and told us to back out. If you aren't good enough to carry don't take someone's money and say you can. Don't take their money at all, just help them for gods sake.
EDIT: Hey guys didn't think this was gonna blow up but I guess good? I'm back to clear some misconceptions. When I say stacked I meant that I ran with a squad of really good players that I often play with meaning good team chemistry and good gun skill.
Another thing some people are saying I should have let them win, the issue is that he revived money for something he can't actually do and expects others to help him get said money for nothing in exchange. This is a game, not a escort service. If it was a friend of mine I would have backed out as I know them and trust them.
EDIT EDIT: So a lot of people see me as "scummy" for running stacked. The truth is they are my friends and they're good too. I play to play not for Elo or kd (sometimes I do) but I like the aspect of the game and playing with good people. I assume tho that running stacked is frowned upon because I play with friends? Let me go bring up 2 random lfg players and constantly loose.

8 RepliesBut running stacked teams takes no skills. 😏👏

The fact that anyone is saying this guy should have backed out is ridiculous. I've never been to the lighthouse and I would never expect an opponent to leave just because I was being carried. It's called "competitive" multiplayer, not "competitive unless you're paying someone then not so much" multiplayer.

3 RepliesEdited by Barbatos: 4/18/2017 2:11:10 PMPersonally, paying for a carry isn't worth it. I never been to the lighthouse but getting there by paying and not on my own merits would be a hollow experience. 4 RepliesThis weekend when I was doing trials carries like usual, we were on our 2nd game, leading 4-1 and the glitch happened just before 5-1. we were all alive they were dead and refused to leave saying it was their lighthouse game, I checked their game history they had only played two games that weekend one win and one loss. We didnt have warlock so we couldn't fix it, I just don't understand the level of douchebaggery of people in trials... We waited for 40mins and they left one by one but seriously why would they do that? They gained nothing... Last weekend this happened twice and enemy team even had a warlock but refused to fix it and win the round... I just hope Bungie fixes this asap, it is really frustrating when it happens...

1 ReplyI was asked to back out of a trials game once... by my own team. Apparently being intoxicated, annoying and going for nothing but sniper 360 no scopes is frowned upon by sweaty pit LFG team mates.

This story is everything that's wrong with ToO, neatly packaged and tied with a bow.

Those types of dudes make me sick... I thank you for giving them a nice "reply". >;)

Make them work for their dinner. I play this game for fun. If they want Destiny to be their job then they can suffer. Nice work OP. Give them another tbag from ole Rappo :)

8 RepliesThat's when you message them back, "You better refund their money."

4 RepliesI don't know what's more sad: Someone paying to be carried; Or the fact that the carriers asked for a free win.

1 ReplyI run stacked, but if I'm facing a good friend of mine who I know is doing a carry, I may back out, depending how far into the card we are, if it's at the beginning we may fight it out, since it doesn't take much to reset, but if it's near the end, I'll give them the win, but I won't do this for any random person. People stacked teams backed out for me when I was doing carries, but they were my friends, not just randoms. ~TheGreatNike

9 RepliesMy friends and I encountered the same issue, but it was 4-3 they were up. We won the next round making it 4-4 but then the bug happened when the round never ends. We convinced the carriers to leave after 15 min of negotiation.

4 RepliesWhy run stack ?
i dont know why people do it and i want to understand

....
1 ReplyNice, honestly don't care if you pay for a carry, but I'm never going to blow a game for someone on the enemy team, and it honestly pisses me off that people ask people to lose purposefully.

Haha this glitch is a pain in the ass but good story nonetheless | Jkeggy | Your Local Friendly Lighthouse Sherpa |

You should have told him ok but then never backed out lol

4 RepliesEdited by Your Hate: 4/17/2017 3:46:04 PMLMAO Just reading this and what they said makes me ]mad Inside. If he needs to message someone saying Uncle they shouldn't be charging $ for lighthouse runs. I wish I could've heard what the guy said to the kid who paid. " Sorry we lost, I was changing my kids diaper and couldn't use both hands" or " Sorry my gf came out of the bathroom waving a preternity test demanding we finally get married". Imagine. What do you guys picture the guy saying as an excuse he lost when someone PAID to go flawless and they didn't?

3 RepliesEdited by fr88g: 4/18/2017 3:20:36 AMAnd congrats getting to 335😉
i honestly usually would just leave things like this without explaining them. I wouldn't explain a joke on offtopic for example but the #destiny forum community has proven its stupidity to often to me so here it is. I'm referencing how in game getting to three thirty five light was an accomplishment and he as of this moment has 335 likes
Good on you.

3 RepliesI still don't understand why someone would pay real money to go to an imaginary place and get an imaginary gun. And at the mercy of RNG no less.
-
3 RepliesI would have charged them to back out. Replied with "I'm doing paid backouts."

Lol great post

This really made my day. Not trying to sound like an ass but I love beating teams that are carrying. Not because I have a problem with carries, just because I think it's funny when the carrier does worse than the actual person being carried. Lol. You sir, are the epitome of a true guardian. I thank you for your service.
