Can someone explain Golgoroth challenge?

1 ReplyThe challenge requires an understanding of the pivoting movement of golgoroth as you take gaze by shooting him in back of head. As you shoot him in back of head he turns to face that person (his 'gaze') Everyone has to take gaze for challenge. The first gaze is taken the standard way, prior to DPS. Then everyone jumps out (number 2 gaze slightly earlier than the others) and line up 3 at the front door and 3 on the bridge (each group has to be directly opposite each other) Shoot him in back of head to take gaze. He pivots rounds to shoot axions at you. As he turns the back of his head can be shot by someone on opposite side of map. He will then pivot again when he is shot in back of head, allowing him to be shot in back of head by someone opposite. Do this 6 times and then go back to starting positions and repeat.

1 ReplyAll six players must hold the gaze during each damage phase. Often no 1 gaze holder takes gaze at back left spot (where you would stand to shoot adds), back left orb would be dropped and other 5 players would do damage. Gaze holder counts down all the way from when first taking gaze. 2nd gaze holder then jumps out of the pit at around 10 seconds and positions on the right bridge, directly opposite the no 1 gaze holder, at 3-2-1 the 2nd gaze holder takes the gaze. You then have 2 options. Option 1. number 3 takes gaze from same spot as no 1 as soon as they can, number 4 takes gaze from same spot as no 2 as soon as they can, number 5 takes gaze from same spot as no 1 as soon as they can, number 6 takes gaze from same spot as no 2 as soon as they can and then runs a lap until the timer counts down. Rinse and repeat until Golgoroth is down. Option 2. number 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 all take the gaze from the bridge number 2 spot. Once each player takes the gaze they jump across to the left bridge and run down to the spot where number 1 gaze holder was standing, the next person will then be able to take the gaze, etc. I hope this is of some help. All six people have to take the gaze once [i]every damage round[/i]. This usually involves running the normal one orb strat. There's probably 9,835 methods to get this done, but usually groups will number themselves 1 through 6. #1 is the main gaze guy that takes gaze for damage phase. He starts a countdown at 10 seconds, which lets #2 know to leave the pit and get into position to take Golgoroth's gaze. #2 let's the damage go as long as possible, maybe even down to one second left, then shoots Golg in the back. #'s 3, 4, 5, and 6 then bail out of the pit and use whatever strategy the group picked to trade the gaze off in numerical order. #2-6 don't have to damage Golgoroth when the gaze is being traded. The challenge is just for everyone to hold the gaze once every damage round.

1 ReplyThere are a lot of videos out there. but to summarize, basically everyone has to grab the gaze and not die. Sounds tougher than it is honestly. There's a couple of different strats for it. Just google a video and watch until you're ready to raid.
