The government steals our money and wastes it on crap like foreign invasions, drone striking Muslim weddings, and importing third world immigrants. What a joke.

In my town the government spent about £1,000,000 building a new structure for a recently made bridge. And we still have a housing crisis wtf
-
That's a very small amount of money in actuality. That would build like 5 houses lol.
That's a very small amount of money in actuality. That would build like 5 houses lol.
No actually it be more. You're thinking cost to buy not to build
-
True, but at most it's a tiny amount compared to how many are needed.
True, but at most it's a tiny amount compared to how many are needed.
It's honestly irrelevant the federal government can't build homes efficiently anyways public housing has always lead to high crime and poverty wherever it's been tried. The state also is ineffective at infrastructure

Edited by Cultmeister: 4/6/2017 7:50:33 PMNot in the UK. We have pretty good infrastructure generally, the main problem is that it takes forever to get built. Specifically with housing, the government never builds any because nobody wants enormous housing estates on neighbouring patches of green land, so they have to consign to build a few houses here and there on abandoned factory sites and what have you.

Now with the high crime and stuff like that I was merely talking about the United States I don't know about the United Kingdom

But five houses is like 15 people. The bridge didn't need a new structure, it was quite new. (five years old I think) The new structure is absolutely massive, and even if it wasn't spent on a house, it could find so many charities.
by the way, £1,000,000 can build 10 two bedroom houses here (bad economy?)
But you also have to think about where those houses will go. Everybody knows we need new houses, but nobody wants them built on any fields near them. 'Blight on the landscape ' and all that. There are only a limited number of brownfield sites around.
