I killed the gaming industry singlehandedly AMA
I pre ordered Destiny 2, therefore according to the self proclaimed "gaming industry experts" on this forum I've killed the entire gaming industry by simple pre ordering one game. Ask the gaming industry killer anything

Not sure about killing the industry lol I will say this tho. By pre ordering u are filling their pockets before they might be finished with the game. Look what happened with most of the CoD's after they started offering season passes, DLCs became shit! Also with the way this game has turned out to be I'm gonna wait. Anyway they'll probably have some type of deal by Christmas. The game is the funnest of all my games but by the way they've treated it I'm gonna wait. Peace out!

46 RepliesEdited by JLoco11: 4/4/2017 5:15:55 PMIt's funny how little people understand pre-ordering, and how it works. Pre-order dollars go to the RETAILERS! Not the developers. Best Buy, Amazon, Gamestop etc are the ones getting money from pre-orders and keeping it. And in return, when it's time to place their orders for X number of games, that's when Activision gets their money. My only issue with people, is pre-ordering DLC & season passes without knowing what's in them yet. It's one thing to order the base game ahead of time... it's another to pre-order the add on content, not knowing how well the original product would turn out. Destiny fooled us last time with their "expansion" packs which were really unlock packs. But I'll certainly pre-order the base game to get into the beta when I see some footage. I won't pre-order any DLC just yet until I know the game itself is something that will keep my attention. Learned my lesson already with Destiny 1 to do that.

I wouldn't have paid for McGregor to knock out Aldo in 5 seconds, that was a waste of money. It happened though. Also I've bought tons of boxes of cracker jacks and I never know what I'll get inside.

If pre-orders started on Dec 25th, or all games dropped then, I'd imagine the complainers would put the pacifier back in and stop crying.

You can all try to justify your pre-order, but you're buying something that you know very little about. I wouldn't say that putting up money for a game that you know little to nothing about is nessessarily "killing the gaming industry"; but I do think it's a dumb decision. But whatever, its your money dude. Spend it however you want. Just remember that if D2 flops (and I'm not saying it will nor am I saying I want it to; but let's just say it does), dont even think about complaining. Cause all you're going to get is a bunch of people looking to inflate their egos by telling you: "I TOLD YOU SO".

Might be lame but a bunch of people will preorder now, do to taxes. I really cant blame them though. For a lot of people on a tight budget now is the time to scoop it up.
