The Age of Triumph quest was great untill....
I was forced to play crucible...
Am I the only one who hates quests that make you play PvP? I hope destiny 2 doesn't do that.
Edit: I had completed the quest before I made the post. It wasn't that bad once I had friends with me. Still, those shaxx bounties suck. They take forever. I'd rather do a raid that takes 3 hours to complete.

1 ReplyI'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this. As soon as I saw the crucible step I sighed so bad. I've only ever played crucible for quests. Never ever for fun....as for me....its not fun at all. Thankfully only took a few hours to get it done. Hopefully Destiny 2 wont force pvp on people lol

[b]ONE[/b] Shaxx bounty wouldn't have been enough? [b]ONE[/b] Shaxx bounty still would have taken longer than any other quest step. Also, [b]FIFTEEN[/b] Rift dunks for the record book? [b]WHY?[/b] [b]TEN[/b] would've been a pretty big chore. I have plenty of dunks over the course of the life of the game but realistically there's 12 people (competing more for it now) and the spark maybe gets dunked 3-5 times per game (between BOTH teams.) That's a lot of games unless you're hogging it and are highly successful.

3 RepliesI have only had time to open the book so far because work and i was already at like 56%. Forcing us to play crucible isnt that good but even worse is that they screwed up the class specific pages like when they negated all the exotics in year 1 not in your inventory or vault when they dud the update to add the kiosks and just decided not to put them in the kiosk regardless of alreadt having the grimoire for them. I have 3 warlocks now because i dont get much time to play and i only like warlock (my preference) but ive already made like 10 characters including 2 titans and 2 hunters but again bungie was like we dont care because you dont have a hunter or a titan "NOW" after the update so you have to do both of them completely over again. Its B.S.

I'm honestly still a bit annoyed all the other crucible stuff for the book didn't count. Because it's not fun anymore doing the multi player in this game.

8 RepliesI'm gonna be honest. I pretty much complained about having to do two shaxx bounties the entire time.. Crucible sucks so much ass right now. It's really terrible. I try to not care. But I miss the last meta, don't like metas in general, and despise what they've done with special ammo. The matchmaking is awful as well, with one team just getting stomped the the other all with 4 kds (could be mine or not...). That all being said, I did it. And when I returned to the tower to collect my reward......I got a [spoiler]bond[/spoiler]. A [spoiler]bond[/spoiler] W. T. F. Needless to say I won't be completing that again on my other characters and accounts unless I decide to actually complete the crucible crap. Which is pointless anyway.

I've been saying this since destiny first came out if u want to do pvp that's fine,if u want to do pve again that's fine but they should be kept separate, personally I prefere pve and hate it when your forced into pvp just to complete a pve quest line

I was pissed about patrols. How many goddamn patrols dies one have to do in this game. Aside from strikes patrol is my least favorite activity

As someone who's been Crucible-heavy since Year 1, I don't think I want to do any Crucible quests during this update. There's only so much adapting someone can tolerate before feeling like the developer is deliberately forcing them to play a specific playstyle every time a weapon update comes out. I've put up with these changes for more than 2 years, forcing myself to "git gud" with other guns only to see said guns get nerfed, making me repeat this "git gud" cycle over and over again. Now we're at a point where primaries are just shadows of their former selves both in power and in all-around versatility, so mastering them is going to be harder (and more frustrating) than before. The only primaries that haven't been nerfed are scout rifles, but half of the maps in rotation favor close-range engagements over medium/long-range fights so scouts end up feeling out of place.

Amen to that, i saw the word crucible and I am like "well, guess who is not going to do this quest anymore." Anything that involves crucible is something I refuse to do.

4 RepliesI hated that part too, but eventually I got through the two quests and now I'm at the worst part (for me) which is the raid. I don't have a team to play Crota, and I also didn't play it back when it first came out so I am absolutely clueless as of what to do when playing. (Which causes people to not want to raid with me because they get impatient and angry at me being a scrub) but, I got my characters all to 400 light and have everything I want, so to me it's pointless. But I do like how this quest goes through each type of gameplay.

Well now you're just complaining about something that makes perfectly good sense for you to complete if you want that special cloak/mark/bond. Quit your whining and get it done or else you're a scrub. It's a quest and it's meant to challenge you. Ya'll crying because a video game made you try hard to accomplish something for once. Give me a break kids.
