This probably doesn't matter to anyone but me.
I've been playing destiny since year 1. Never really enjoyed the crucible as I got to the party late (more of an PvE kinda guy) I barely got year 1 thorn right before he became useless.
Anyway I finally got a first character (Hunter) to 1.0 k/d. The other two are still sub 1.0 but f@ck, that makes me happy.
Excited to play out he last few months before we are all off to D2.
Edit: honest "thank you" to all the positive comments and different perspectives on stats.
To the haters, if you live with your mom your comment is invalid. To the others, go f&ck yourself;-)

Good for you m8. I've stopped playing pvp because I've reached my breaking point. You continue having fun. I'm a pve guy myself as well.

1 ReplyDude, I have been trying to get my hunter above a 1.0 since forever. In the last couple of months, I went from a .82 to a .87😕. I have hundreds upon hundreds of battles with a .50- from vanilla, so the grind is real. Can't wait for Destiny 2 when I have a solid 1.0/1.5!!

Well congrats! Now shoot for a weekly/monthly of 1.2 and grind until you hit it. 1.5 is your next milestone after that.

It was very gratifying when I did, because I really sucked at PvP when I started. I'm now at 1.1 with all of them. Things started to turn around when I started paying attention to what good players were doing and to builds.

Congrats on achieving a goal!! I've been hovering around a 1.0 for most of my destiny career. It would be better, except sometimes I'll have just the worst match that anybody had ever seen.

I'm still fighting to get there, was terrible in crucible early on, struggling to get 5 kills a round. I have gotten better, had a game with a 16.0 K/D, but hover around a 1.0. I'm not consistent, always running solo. Congrats!!! I get it, kind of a big deal.

Congratulations! That is an incredible feat of PvP prowess. If Destiny was your first major PvP game. A lot of these comments are totally disregarding the absolute power of guns like; Suros, Thorn, Vex, Infinity, (not to mention), Mapador and Bungie's complacency to leave the crucible at the mercy of those guns. As someone who also made that long climb, I wonder if you'd agree.... I think Destiny has always been more a game of Guns than a game of skill. There's knowledge and the implementation of it, but, really it's about acquiring T h o s e guns! It is why I never understood why Trials has so many good guns..... Best players/best guns.... Ummmm, sounds right to me. I couldn't beat the Doctrine in capable hands. Hated that gun. Great work man!

Nice job. Dont listen to people giving you grief. You cant do anything on this forum without people throwing your kd numbersat you if you are low but when someone hits a goal for their kd its a worthless stat. You cant win here. Good job and keep working at it.

If you want to compare yourself with others, use the Combat Rating. It shows if you're helping the team or if you're just a fifth wheel.

Congrats! I know what a chore it can be. I slaughtered my Titan in yr1 and got him 2000 more deaths than kills. Chiseled away at it this past year and now only have 100 more to go to break even.

I remember I was so garbage at crucible when the game first came out. I was at like a .70 KD. I sucked at crucible for about a good year or so and then I finally got good lol. It took a long time but I was finally able to make my titans KD 1.10, and ever since it's been going higher and higher

2 RepliesI feel you. I'm a Year 1 player as well. Was complete ass in the crucible for most of the fist year, but I worked at it and got better and now I am 1.06 on my lock and hunter and 1.07 on my titan. It's quite a struggle to get my lock up though, he is my main and I have over 28,500 kills on him, so it's a struggle to make him climb at all.

Good for you man. It's hard getting a high k/d spread nowadays since the matchmaking connection has gone to shit and folks are still hitting red bars in matches.

From another PvP scrub that recently broke the 1.0 K/D ceiling - a hearty congratulations. I may not care about K/D as a whole, but damn it felt good to finally see that 1.0 show up in my stats.
