I'm looking to farm some vendor packages for a good scout for PVE, what do you guys think on perks? I currently have a "The Wounded" with Firefly, explosive rounds and some other stuff which is nice, but as I understand the explosive rounds sometimes cancels out the Firefly affect.
What's your idea of a perfect PVE scout?

Badger CCL, Crowd Control, High Caliber Rounds (or explosive rounds), and Reactive Reload. Cocytus, Triple tap, Extended mag (or Hand-laid Stock) and Firefly. The Wounded, Full Auto, Outlaw (or Triple Tap), and Firefly The 2 best scouts for DPS in TtK and RoI, excluding Dogma which is a different beast. Not Like The Others and Treads Upon Stars: Crowd Control, Disciplinary (or Will of Light), and Reactive Reload.

Too many for just one. Though if I was in a hurry and could only grab one it would be the OG Hung Jury. The new DO scout can drop with some good rolls, got one with OEG sights, full auto, outlaw and Zen moment. I use it mainly on Cabal. Just got another with the oeg sight, explosive rounds, perfect balance and Zen moment. Got a Cocytus with tripletap, Rifled barrel and firefly that gets used a lot. Got more than a few Treads upon Stars as well. I keep the ones with crowd control, explosive rounds and firefly. I only keep the ones that have will of light or diciplinarian as well. I'm running around with 6 scouts at the moment and Zhalo Supercell.

4 RepliesThe OG Hung Jury vendor roll whatever year that was. The Burning eye adept this year is pretty good too
-
Triple tap, extended mag and firefly

1 ReplyNL/Shadow I think it is. Max rate of fire one. Get one with explosive rounds, preferably zen moment as well. Third perk really doesn't matter. EVERYTHING get's blow up.

2 RepliesGuerrilla fighter

Firefly is nice. Can probably do without explosive rounds. I tend to chase after scouts of the Doom of Chelchis, Hung Jury SR4, Vision of Confluence archetype with perks such as... -Firefly -Full auto -life support -rifled barrel -smallbore -triple tap -outlaw -reactive reload -feeding frenzy

Explosive rounds and firefly is my PVE go to. Even used in crucible with success. I haven't noticed explosive canceling firefly.
-
Triple Tap Explosive Rounds Zen Moment Firefly Outlaw Hammer Forged Full Auto Extended Mag Field Scout
-
Triple tap is always a good perk. Army of one and grenadier are other good ones. Firefly is alright, but I've found that it works best with hand cannons.
-
Cluster Bombs like my treads that crashes my game everytime I use it and makes dregs shoot in the air. Used it in crucible killed someone and the guy next to him disconnected and I had to restart my game too.

Edited by Hiypher: 3/8/2017 3:38:38 AMThe scout on my huntard is a very good pve scout rifle.

Edited by Woodtoad01: 3/8/2017 3:38:42 AMPlaying crucible drops cryptic dragon, a pretty good scout that can roll max stability. Or, do the normal raid and get the scout. Lot of recoil, but you can shoot for days if you hit your shots. Overall, best scout in the game right now is burning eye, from trials of Osiris. If you're lucky you can get one to drop from7 wins or from going flawless. It's a mid impact scout with ballistic options, so you can get more damage that that archetype would normally allow.

Outlaw, stabilty perk, firefly.
-
Edited by BRAX7ON 117: 3/8/2017 3:32:12 AMThe perks should vary depending upon the archetype you're using. For instance: on higher rate of fire scout rifles it is important to have high stability. On the lower rate of fire scout rifles, stability is not a great concern.

3 RepliesMy perfect Scout Rifle roll would be Firefly/Outlaw- my ideal perks for any precision weapon.
-
One scout with explosive rounds. Annihilates with solar burn. Even better when solar burn and primary damaged favored.
-
Widgeon TV (great YT channel) has some excellent vids explaining perks. Explosive Rounds: https://youtu.be/ZdGxNIuJQqI Firefly: https://youtu.be/vYkdIgfDwd0 Check out his other stuff too, I've actually learned quite a bit.

3 RepliesTreads with crowd control, ER, and firefly. Triple tap isn't as good if you think about it. Only good on bosses......which you're using special and heavy on. It's ok against regular enemies but at the end of the day you'll get 2-3 extra rounds and you're likely reloading after every other kill anyway.

Triple tap , extended mag or hand laid stock , fire fly
-
honestly chaos dogma is the best scout rifle. even for pvp
-
1 ReplyBadger with zen moment, explosive rounds and outlaw.
-
Honestly, the Chaos Dogma is pretty godly for PvE. Free ammo for days.
-
3 RepliesTriple Touch🌝 Crowd Control Explosive Rounds. Those are probably the strongest. Maybe Radioactive Reload

I got a Cryptic dragon with Crowd control, field scout and firefly. Its not the best of scouts but the roll is great for PvE.
Now if I only played PvE regularly lol
Edited by thedandymancan: 3/8/2017 2:57:03 AMMy Hunter has quite possibly the perfect PvE roll. Cryptic Dragon - FLA-5 Scope - Crowd Control - Explosive Rounds - Firefly - 19 round mag Titan: Not Like The Others - Reflex sight - Crowd Control - Explosive Rounds - Outlaw - 17 round mag Warlock: Badger CCL ("The Damage Pump") - FLA-5 Scope - Crowd Control - Explosive Rounds - Reactive Reload - 14 round mag Also have a Triple Tap/Braced Frame/Firefly Cryptic Dragon kickin' in the vault. People rave about the old Hung Jury, but I never obtained it. Triple Tap is good, but better on a sniper. Crowd Control is where it's REALLY at! Anything to boost damage output is excellent (e.g. my Badger CCL). Explosive Rounds are tops in my book because they also boost damage output (check out some vids testing this), are good for add control (spelling?), and they knock out elemental shields REAL quick! Firefly is great because it is of course another damage boost. Great for helping clear out groups of enemies. You may opt for a stability perk in the mid tree over Explosive Rounds, but I'm usually fine controlling the recoil as is.
