So I can't download this new patch on either of my ps4's both have over 50g of space but says I don't have enough . Bungie you guys really need to get your finger out your assess, yes I know most of you will be working on destiny 2 but don't release a patch if people are gonna just get even more issues . Destiny has been dying on its ass and this could just have pushed it over the edge .... destiny is dead , long live destiny 2 ..... well provided these muppets can get that to work

Edited by RedPhoenix HD: 3/10/2017 4:57:19 PMFirst, this is more of an issue on how PS handles incremental updates with cloud computing, and not just related to Bungie. There are almost no other games using cloud computing so PS is still learning from it, as well as all the developers. A lot of games coming out this fall/next year will start using cloud computing even more. Second, if the system determines that the update was interrupted for any reason (including things like wifi interruptions), or determines something is not correct on the system, it will automatically determine the need to download and install all updates, not just the latest patch. In this case, you need double the space required. If yours is stating 33GB then it will need 33GB to download that file and another 33ish GB to unpack it and then run the installer. Some installers have been as high as 50ish GB. It is best to only use wired connection during updates and to never interrupt them. Last, if the file got interrupted and corrupted, you may need to actually go into your system, find the file that started downloading and delete it before it will be able to continue on and successfully download what it needs. This was an issue with a number of games on XB360 during its earlier years - the corrupted file would keep it from ever completing.

Same issue for me. I have 36.80GB of storage but the update only gets to 3% before telling me that I don't have enough storage. What is going on bungie?
-
Same problem here. I guess It's a really big update, and I won't be playing destiny anytime soon.

I have a 115gb free and I get stuck at 94%. This has happened 4 times now. Once it made it to 96% so I left it there overnight assuming would finish....nope! I've deleted the downloads, cleared the cache (unplugged the PS4 for over 5 minutes) and tried to re-download. Same result. This shit shouldn't happen. Not only is this issue present, but while it's in this state my entire PS4 runs slow.

2 RepliesI have the same problem. Over 50gb Storage on my PS4 and I can't download the patch
-
2 RepliesMy Playstation had around 80gb remaining, I deleted a few games and had just over 100gb... Then the game was allowed to download.

Same issue here, another post says uninstall Destiny...umm how about no! O well guess Ill play something else until they have a real solution.

Same. 46GB space

Edited by EZ: 3/7/2017 11:40:54 PMHello, Please be sure to review this article regarding the patch here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13125 If there are connection issue or if the download is interrupted or paused in anyway. Issues may result. You can also view this thread here that contains a response from the BNGHelps with some troubleshooting steps. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/223033495/0/0/1
Hi there, If the download is taking an abnormally long time, please stop or delete the download, and clear the console cache. Once the PlayStation 4 system is turned back on, please start the download from the Downloads queue in the Notifications menu. When downloading from that menu, the download bar may say that is "Preparing to Download" for a while, but as long as progress is being made, please try to continue the download normally. If progress on the download bar stops, never starts, or otherwise stalls, please try uninstalling Destiny, clearing the console cache, and then reinstalling Destiny. If the download continues to encounters this problem, please contact PlayStation Support. For more information, please see our Updating Destiny Guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=45174
