Why do people stop responding
Whenever I get into a religious conversation with a atheist they always leave, why is that? Here is an example

Perhaps if you spent some time to actually understand evolution and the decay of organic matter, rather than spouting flawed inductive leaps that only work to support your own belief system, people would be more apt to have a conversation.

Many reasons, but here are a few: 1. They are being assholes 2. They feel defeated 3. They don't want to waste their time 4. Others chime in so they don't have to speak anymore (related to 3) 5. "This one is machine and nerve, and has its mind concluded. This one is but flesh and faith, and is the more deluded."

Maybe there is more to life than being baited into talking in circles by narrow minded individuals? People have families,jobs,sleep and other responsibilities.You can't reasonably expect someone to continue a conversation forever,especially if it doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

Why can't people just coexist? Seriously, there's always that one guy who starts an argument. I'm an atheist but I have no problem with religion. Both sides should just suck their pride up and talk like civilized human beings.

Because after about a half hour I realize that nothing I can type on a forum would ever change your mind about a subject such as religion.

Maybe they realize that arguing with someone who only has time to try to prove other people wrong about their beliefs instead of being productive isn't worth their time.
