My takeaway from the Age of Triumph update that Bungie just posted is that all those items everybody purchased through micro transactions (myself included, not going to lie lol) are worthless.
If I'm understanding correctly, everything I purchased through Eververse is not being carried forward, which kinda sucks because well... I was foolish enough to think that they'd stay with my account forever.
Shame on me, I have no one else to blame but myself for the purchases that I made. However, I'm no longer going to make any purchases in this game.
If I'm wrong with my takeaway, then please correct me.

When I think of how much money I've wasted on shit over the years the $40 I've spent on silver doesn't bother me at all. Especially considering it brought be some level of enjoyment, even if it was temporary.
-
4 RepliesI am bummed I can't bring my Carlton dance (and all of the other Eververse stuff I bought) with me, but it makes sense. It's Destiny 1 stuff, so it doesn't make much sense to bring it forward into an entirely new game. Honestly can't think of a game that lets you do that. I had a lot of fun using the emotes since they were introduced though, so I feel like I got my money's worth with them.

I still have the 400 silver they gave out to everyone. If there was a way to transfer it, you could have it.
-
You do get to keep them forever idiot. IN DESTINY 1. Stop whining.
-
They were ALWAYS WORTHLESS. Cosmetic gear in an action game? Yup. Worthless. You are a fool if you thought they would be worth anything. What were you expecting? Even if you had them for 10 years over 3 or 4 games.... they'd still be worthless. Sorry you had to learn this on a forum.
-
3 RepliesDid you buy it: yes Did you use it: yes Will it still be in destiny when you play it: yes Have you lost it forever: no The salt of people like you: priceless
for everything else there's master rahool
Hmmmmm shame that it's worthless right?
-
Every toy, game, or movie you have ever paid for is worthless too. They spent their money on entertainment. They got what they wanted and enjoyed it. No different then doing a pay for view movie or fight.
-
Is not worthless because you used them and had fun with them, you bought and emote and you used that emote, you bought armor and you wore that armor, if you ask me you got your bang for your buck. Now a new game is gonna come out and is time to move on.

Spent money to have fun and I did. Time for something new as I made more money today

1 ReplyEdited by HOOSTKO: 3/8/2017 2:48:23 PMIt's ridiculous!!!! I bought this sandwich yesterday for lunch, ate it, and I just realized I won't get to eat it again today. I'm going to boycott that restaurant from now on. Ps. What game does let you do that?

I'm sure gonna miss Thriller and Gangnam Style 😢

hush you just bitchin to be bitchin
-
Can't say I ever thought it would carry over.
-
Hate to break it to you, but a little picture you can put by your name on a videogame, or some virtual gloves were always worthless.
-
Edited by GamerCone: 3/8/2017 6:44:00 PMNope youre initial attitude is correct. You're pretty damn naive if you spent money on micro transactions thinking that a game would last forever and are surprised that your vault isn't carrying over in a new game. I don't think anyone's dumb for spending money on micros, I spent about $10 on emotes over that past 2 years, but I have fully enjoyed them over this time period and I will not miss that $10. All games come to an end including your real life. Make sure you choose your investments, both in time and money, wisely.

Isn't this the same with every game? If you buy a skin in something like COD, does it carry to the next iteration? Probably not, since COD likes to mix up developers, but when Treyarch come back around with their new COD, do you bring over all your skins? I don't know, that's why I'm asking. Seems like they would stay in the old game. They're always there, but don't affect future games, right?
-
I have never spent a dime on micros. Its for those with more money than sense. All those losers spending dollars praying for the ghost ghost and not getting sh*t except the uldren mask. Fooking hilarious to watch. Anyone who gets attached to electronic gear needs some serious emotional help. Let it go and grind for the new sh7t in D2!
-
10 RepliesGood god the entitlement is sooooo strong in these kids!!! If you bought shit for D1 and used it in D1 then you got your money's worth!!! Why do you idiots think buying something for one game would be used in a totally different game is beyond me!!!!! Big ol Mute.
-
I think it's a fair point for you to say that you thought you'd be able to carry you purchases forward. Bungie always said Destiny will be a ten year game. This week is the first mention of not carrying everything forward.
-
All the packs I bought on ME 3 should carry to Andromeda! That's what you sound like.

1 ReplyEdited by michael: 3/6/2017 2:20:22 AMthey'll still have value in destiny: rise of iron, which will still be online and playable a couple years from now. everyone complaining about nothing transferring is dumb... you're acting like you can't come back and play destiny: rise of iron. it will still exist!!
-
1 ReplyThey will stay with your account forever in destiny 1, not destiny 2.
-
3 RepliesThe rng of the stupid treasure boxes is what killed Rise of Iron. I'll never forget the look on Tefty's face when he spent like $200 trying to get a ghost ghost and it didn't happen. He felt so dumb. I felt bad for him.
-
That's why you don't support it
-
I will certainly be done with Silver if all of it doesn't carry over. That's not me complaining... It's fine. I just know I won't do it for nothing moving forward.
