How about this for an idea for Bungie. 2 tier system. Once you've been flawless on any character that week or anyone in your fireteam has you go to tier 1 all the others say in tier 2. Unless there are no matches and then they have to pair you.
When discussing this idea with fellow guardians one asked about account recoverys.
Easy to do, they create Bungie ambassadors or something to watch various streams and just report them.
Listen I've no problem with carries etc. I've had them and there great viewing and an awesome experience. But I'm trying to get better and playing guardians that have been flawless 150+ times. It's really tough and sucks for the ordinary guardian

I wouldn't base it off how many flawlesses you have, i think bungie needs to accept elo as a stat and slot players into tiers based on it, or some weekly kd stat. Idk. I'm one of those people you hate that runs stacked with all 2k ELO, but i also just play for fun and help friends when asked. (main acc is lilgoodee and might have dropped to just below a 2k)

2 RepliesI think getting to the Lighthouse and going flawless should be two separate things, kind of like doing the raid and doing challenge mode are.CM isn't necessary but gains you exclusive loot. Perhaps a points system similar to the Mountaintop quest from the Taken King, three points for a win, lose a point for a loss, spend a point to enter the next game. 9 or 11 points gets you to the Lighthouse, lose as many times as you like, just get the points, the only stipulation being you must stay in the matchmaking system and the same fireteam. Going "flawless" would be attaining the required points without any losses and would grant an extra chest per character per week(emblems, shaders, maybe primaries, ornaments). This way average players could realistically get to the Lighthouse - meeting pro teams wouldn't mean elimination,it would merely be a set back, but top players would still have incentive to go flawless and get rewards denied everyone else.

Make so by how times flawless in certain tiers highest in each fireteam.

1 ReplyI quit playing pvp altogether.. I need a stable environment to improve in and when they change the meta every 3 months I continuously have to learn new ways to try and win. As a guy with kids and a wife and a 9-5 I just cant keep up with the sweaties.. Good luck to you tho. This type of tiered system would probably work better for ppl like me so here's hoping

It's hard competing against the no life's that can play Destiny full time, everyday, like it's the only game in the world...

I agree

It's a great idea, but will Bungie ever implement something like that? I'm not the greatest Destiny player by any means, mainly PVE but have been focusing on PVP more and more recently and hold my own in 6v6 and 3v3 matches in the general crucible, but I've never gotten past the 5th win in Trials and regularly get completely stomped in match 1. I would like to say I have "completed" Destiny before the sequel comes out, but I'm pretty sure I'll never get to the lighthouse so I'm almost giving up on such a hope.
