You just created another problem and this patch proves one thing:
Is better to have a weapon versus no weapon as a secondary.
Sidearms are totally fine the way they are. You just nerf and nerf and nerf and nerf. This game is becoming super slow and that's not what people want
You gave us blink, twilight garrison and shadow step and then made our weapons so slow that anyone can easily dodge the bullets and run away.
Buff primaries, they still are horrible. They are being used because there's nothing left to use, not because they are good
Revert secondaries ammo loose. Make secondaries start with max weapon capacity and remove green ammo drop.
Can't you see that every patch more people left the game?
Edit 1:
If we slow down the game peace, we will see only nerfs after nerfs
NLB and sidearms are getting nerfed
Then granades and melee willbe seen as overpowered options
They will nerf stick nades and melee ranges
Then supers will kill too much and yours weapons will not be able to take down them
Nerf supers...
It's a snow ball. We need time to kill slightly reduced on primaries
i don't want thron, TLW, suros or Vex meta again
I just want to feel like i'm not shooting plastic bullets at my enemies
I'm also a Brazilian, so if you joke on my grammar i'll just ignore
any comments saying what did i write wrong and how to properly write it will be appreciated
Edit2: Thanks fot all the positive comments
Special thanks for ninjaslash37, for helping me with my grammar

1 ReplyIf you think a game is supposed to be balanced all the time, you clearly have never played a game with a meta to it. There will always be new things that will make the old stuff either irrelevant or better. There will also be changes that will do the same thing.
-
Balance is not Bungie's objective Your argument is invalid for something that doesn't exist
-
2 Repliesbalance in the short-term or long-term isn't the goal. The rotating meta basically concedes that they can't balance this game, so they just try to make sure each gun/archetype gets their day, which is just dumb IMO. That doesn't create anything close to balance. It actually creates inherent imbalance.
-
Shadow step?
-
This game solved a huge problem. Crutch over powered weapons finally got the nerf they needed so that skilled players like me can succeed.
-
20 RepliesYour grammar, spelling, and punctuation is still garbage even with help. Attend English class more often, kiddo.

1 ReplyThe pace of the game in year one was much slower than the clever dragon/matador meta. To me, this game now feels a lot more like year one in terms of pace. The game was way too fast paced with the meta before the patch and I don't think that is what bungie intended to do.
-
If by some miracle bungo will decide to un nerf everything I wonder how it would play out.. Sunbreakers and bladedancers would be meta instantly 🤔
-
Remove over shields and that's your primary buff.
-
15 RepliesThey did not balance anything. All the did was limit the stuff we could use effectively. It was lazy.
-
4 RepliesTrue balance is not achievable.
-
They don't know how to balance anything. They make one thing more powerful than everything else and call it balance
-
2 RepliesThey lost alot of players with this patch. The ammo changes should include sidearms. Also it doesnt make sense with icebreaker and invective that has ammo regen.
-
New PvE idea
-
I expect if they nerf sidearms so that they only have minimal ammo after death, it will reduce sidearm spamming, but overall special balance will not change. It's better to have a mediocre special that will always do its job, as opposed to a more effective weapon that won't have ammo most of the time, or that you'll have to run around fetching ammo for it.
-
The real problem is we tend to gravitate towards the weapons, grenades, and abilities that are either one hit kills or the fastest time to kill. Which makes sense we want to win and kill each other as quick as we can. Once the same things get used over and over and over they get nerfed or adjusted.
-
6 RepliesI disagree that the game is slow paced now, but I agree with your overall message. Although with that said, I think the pursuit of balance in a game like this is ridiculous as even just a premise.

Edited by Maggot_McGirt: 2/28/2017 7:59:04 PMIf no ones figured it out it's a pattern. Bungie only nerfs things that are overused. Here's a thought. Stop hanging out on YouTube figuring out the new meta. It's literally the community's fault these nerfs keep happening and all these so called skilled players flock right to it. The second they said nerf to shotguns I called it. The community was gonna flock right to side arms and they were gonna be a problem and they were gonna get nerfed. And all the YouTube goons posted videos on them less than a week after the patch. Don't blame bungie, blame yourselves for creating your stupid metas and ruining the game.

Balance is in the eye of the beholder and you will never get it in a loot based shooter. Frankly, I wouldn't want it anyway. It defeats the entire purpose of a loot based game.

I have stopped playing that shit ass game and I'm a day one player. Nerfing the No Land Beyond because these little suckasses that play crucible don't want to practice and actually learn how to use it. Instead they bitch and moan to the devs and sure enough here comes a nerf to dumb down the good players to leave room for the insurmountable shitty cry babies. Good Job Bungie! Destiny is now just another shitty variant to CoD

5 RepliesThe change is great. No more whole-match shotgun apes. Just the ones good with shotties. No more quick scopes and shit. Just the ones who pick lanes and do actual sniping. As far as UniRemote, NLB, Sidearms, and Icebreakers? Fxckin please. I see more Hand Cannons and Hard Light's that I see any of those. I use Autos and consistently get kills with them. I've increased the number of steaks I get because I use a FUSION RIFLE which is supposed to be shit right now. Welcome to primaries, you fxckin nerfherding terds.
-
Their goal is never to make the game completely balanced, it's more to make a change to the meta
-
7 RepliesName 1 game with different classes, different weapons, different abilities, and different game style, that is balanced. No class based game is ever really possible to "balance" There are just so many factors in destiny that make it hard to balance. You can't expect every patch to be what you want and you can't expect them to pick up your pacifier when you drop it. They aren't perfect and they can't fix everything, which is the situation for EVERY pvp class oriented game, sure some get close, but never truly perfect

Edited by Dinkus McGee: 2/28/2017 6:01:59 PMI agree on most of this. I do feel the tweaks were necessary to shotguns and the overused pulses. Everything else (particularly the secondary ammo) is pure trash. I have yet to understand what the purpose was in making only sidearms useable in the crucible. They were apparently underused.. but to effectively disable every other secondary? Wtf? And most of the primaries now are hand cannons, so it seems they didn't really do much to improve primaries. I never used shotties or snipers. Was a huge fusion fanatic. Now I can't.

I agree. Before the patch they said they wouldn't nerf shotguns into the ground. We should've realized they meant they're nerfing more than just shotguns into the ground
