This is a sad day
It has gotten to the point that we're about to nerf a gun that used to be laughed at because it was by far the worst, most useless weapon in the game. Way to go!
Edit: we are trending!!
Edit 2: I have to thank you guys, this got way bigger than I ever expected it to :D
Edit 3: 2 days and over 1000 comments later, post is still going strong. Hopefully Bungie sees this and changes their mind about the upcoming nerf.
Edit 4: Some people just can't read or understand what the post says. I'm not crying about the nerf to No Land beyond - why would I even care that much, I only play once a week! The point I am making is that continuous crying for nerfs has caused primaries to become too weak, thus making a once terrible weapon seem "overpowered". It's honestly ridiculous and depressing that some folks are so rude, dense, and aggressive that I have to explain this. I am [u][b]NOT[/b][/u] talking about how strong NLB is right now and I am in no way making an attempt to complain about the weapon or any nerfs related to this patch.
Everyone does have the right to their own opinion, so intelligent, mature arguments are appreciated!

You know it got quite a buff a while back, and dodged a nerf when snipers were being a pain in the ass. Now that snipers aren't always around and that's all some people use they have abused the fact that there is something called the No Flinch Beyond. And to the Nay-Sayers saying that No Land does have flinch, go ahead and fire it the next time you are being wailed on by anything. Don't move your sights. Just pull the trigger. 90% chance you landed that bullet.

It's supposed to be better than other snipers. I know that no one is comparing the two it's just a point I'm trying to make. Exotics need to be exotic. Red death is being fuked from behind and not getting the health regen put back. Do many people use red death? No not really. But it's a perk. Same goes for surous. On to my old favorite gun, the Mida. Well that gun is as useless as a 2 inch limp dick in bed. What's the purpose of it being an exotic if it doesn't have HCR. My distant star has HCR crowd control and injection mold. Same arch type as the Mida and way more affective. So what's the point of it being an exotic. Movement speed? Cmon. You know that's crap. People need to understand that they keep calling for nerfs and bungie runs away with it. I saw someone say there is a place for every weapon. Well how bout exotics are flat out better to use than legendary weapons. Choose your exotic wisely.

i stopped playing for a bit because i thought i got burned out. so, i started playing again, and then i realized why i really stopped playing. the game legitimately is not fun anymore

Reading a lot of the comments and counter arguments draws me to the conclusion that Destiny; in the end, made it too easy to acquire exotic weaponry and armour and then not back this up with more content to challenge it's player base.

It was buffed with patch 2.0 for The Taken King since that day no one ever said that NLB is bad. Research a little bit better and -blam!- No Land Beyond

5 RepliesEvery single thing in the game has been nerfed so much that NLB is good now. Bungie and it's amazing ability to nerf all the things has made this joke into a beast. What Bungie doesn't realize is they are the joke now. They will be famous, not for their great games, but for their insatiable desire to nerf those games into the ground. This tendency existed during the Halo days, but it wasn't as noticeable back then. Now that they've been outed as the worlds most prominent nerfers, the gaming community should consider staying away from them until they get over it. Just a thought.

21 RepliesYou fools are clowning... NLB is stupid and it was a dumb idea in the first place, it's actually impossible to balance and in the right hands can be the most frustrating gun to deal with... They need to just delete it from the game completely or move it to a secondary slot and leave it as is... Don't come in here talking about how "bad" the gun is... there is a reason it is so widely used by the competitive crowd.. we all know better, if you think it sucks it's because you didn't spend time getting good with it...

Instead of nerfing why can't this community/bungie embrace alternative game play? The NLB does not need changing, other snipers do. -reduce flinch on snipers. Not back to the meta with all hardscoping snipers, but dial back the flinch so that regular snipers become "viable" again. The NLB is fine. All the kids on here saying it's trash and easy to use better have more than 1200+sniper kills or they don't know what they are taking about. That damn iron sight is garbage. OTHER SNIPERS ARENT OK. So let's not nerf the NLB how about bungie works on the ones that aren't being used. Special ammo for secondaries is what really needs more work.
