This is a sad day
It has gotten to the point that we're about to nerf a gun that used to be laughed at because it was by far the worst, most useless weapon in the game. Way to go!

Edit 3: 2 days and over 1000 comments later, post is still going strong. Hopefully Bungie sees this and changes their mind about the upcoming nerf.
Edit 4: Some people just can't read or understand what the post says. I'm not crying about the nerf to No Land beyond - why would I even care that much, I only play once a week! The point I am making is that continuous crying for nerfs has caused primaries to become too weak, thus making a once terrible weapon seem "overpowered". It's honestly ridiculous and depressing that some folks are so rude, dense, and aggressive that I have to explain this. I am [u][b]NOT[/b][/u] talking about how strong NLB is right now and I am in no way making an attempt to complain about the weapon or any nerfs related to this patch.
Everyone does have the right to their own opinion, so intelligent, mature arguments are appreciated!

Maybe the reason that a lot of people think NLB is OP is because there are few options to counter back NLB. I mean, before nerf if someone was using NLB everyone could use a legendary snipper to counter it, but now with the nerf on special ammo that is not so easy to do.... It is not that NLB is OP, but fighting back NLB with a snipper is more difficult due to the lack of special ammo........ At this scenario if you want to fight back a NLB user you should use also a NLB....and that is lame

3 RepliesIt's just flinch getting nerfed. If you use it like the sniper it is, then this shouldn't be a problem for you. It's already a primary, and thus has way more ammo than other snipers. If you only used it because it was nigh upon impossible to counter, then you're the real problem here.

[u]Pros:[/u] -always has ammo available -reload glitch does not stop the weapon from shooting for a few seconds like most guns -almost zero flinch -HUGE accuracy boost ages ago -one of the few current snipers that can decimate a super via headshot now -iron sight was edited and does not make for a shitty sight anymore [u]Cons:[/u] -nothing -nothing -nothing -it's a ranged weapon so you have to switch to your [sidearm] when someone gets close

Blame goes to all the whiny little crybabies in pvp that take an inherently broken game (no dedicated servers = laggers/cheaters advantage) and try and play all sweaty/competitive every singe match of every game type like their pathetic lives depend on it.

17 RepliesChop down all the tall trees and the smaller ones become the giants. NLB and sidearms [i]used[/i] to be laughed at, with all the nerfs they are now too strong. These are good changes, if you're good with the weapon and use it as a sniper you should see no difference, if you only use it because of lack of flinch it's time to use a normal primary. I can't believe people are even defending it when everyone here was screaming for snipers to be nerfed, along comes NLB with basically infinite ammo, no flinch and a reload glitch that makes it fire faster then any sniper other then the amr 20/20... These changes to sidearms and NLB will make a true primary based cruicble. And I cannot wait.

1 ReplyExotic weapon are meant to be exotic by having hidden/not hidden perk such as unflinching, unflinching should be keep so that nlb will be truly exotic. Bungie are making mistake if they nerf unflinching on nlb. Way to go bungie, nerf everything to oblivion..

I'd be willing to bet $ that EVERYONE asking for a NLB nerf has less than 1,000 kills with it. Also willing to bet they are dumpster juice at the game. Quit crying you nerf herders. You're embarrassing yourselves.

1 ReplyHonestly I don't think bungie should do anything with the NLB. Occasionally I will run the NLB/Sidearm combo, but honestly I am trash with the NLB. If someone really takes the time to use it properly, it can be devastating. I admire a individual for taking that time and I believe they deserve all the kills they get with it. Plus it is a exotic, it is supposed to be different and have something that sets it apart from all the other snipers. They really need to restore the Universal Remote to its first version. All the nerfs against it goes against the whole different than all the other shotguns.

1 ReplyIt was shit back in the day because everything was broken as hell, and people didn't know about the reload glitch. Also, it would only make sense to make a sniper that runs on primary ammo to work like every other sniper. It's dumb that there's a sniper that has infinite ammo, no flinch, can res snipe, and has iron sights while other snipers have little to no ammo, ridiculous flinch, and some can't res snipe, and have tougher to use scopes. I'm sorry you have to know what using a real sniper is like? Git gud? [spoiler]Before you go checking my stats and stuff, my main account is Urks, I have nearly 3,000 kills with NLB and a 75ish% headshot ratio.[/spoiler]

4 RepliesI never thought i would see this day, and yet, the prophecy of year 1 destiny forms foretold that when bungie nerfs everything that people would complain about No Land Beyond and would start calling it No Skill Beyond. Although i haven't seen anyone call it no skill beyond so far, this is pretty close to what the prophecy foretold us. The prophecy also foretold us that we all will not only fall victim to bungie nerfs, but we will all also suffer from the hands of Kermit, THE perfected. And he and he alone, will wipe out all guardian gear from the game. Freeing gear slots and vault space so we can all start over. May the Traveler have mercy on our lights.

Once one weapon gets replaced another one its suddenly "broken." it's pathetic to think that it was the laughing stock of the community and now (with absolutely no changes made to it) it's broken? If it was broken then why did no one cry for its nerf back then? The reason people only care about its apparently "broken" aspects isn't because it's OP but overused. Same thing with side arms. At the same time I'm tired of people complaining that they miss year one pvp and want exotics to feel exotic but then complain when exotic weapons actually have an edge over others. Because of the community exotics are being far out shined by their ordinary legendary counterparts which deprives these golden weapons into almost useless artifacts to rot in the vault. There's nothing wrong with NLB. The game is just so unbalanced and with everything being nerfed by crying -blam!-s that this gun you probably didn't give a shit about years ago suddenly means something in pvp. Stop nerfing shit that isn't broken and just buff other weapons to balance shit like they do in titanfall. Also people do understand that because of increased flinch being added to it, instead of people that use the weapon and push, they're just gonna camp now to avoid the flinch and bet that'll piss ppl off more constantly being picked off at every corner.
