What was THE HARDEST Raid you've ever played?
Now that we've seen all the Raids well ever get to see in this release Destiny, which one was the hardest Raid you ever played? Why?

5 RepliesWhen Gjallarhorn finally got its nerf and was removed from the game for a year, King's Fall shot up to the top of the list as the hardest raid. Without the original power of that gun, no raid will ever be easy mode again. Try melting Oryx like you did Atheon and Crota with Gjallarhorn now. I dare you.

King's Fall was by far the most difficult due to the mechanics punishing players heavily because of one little death. VoG was more player friendly and easier to cheese. (pushing Templar and Atheon off the ledge)

Kings fall. For some reason the net code for that raid really screwed me and my teams over. We could never do an Oryx fight without there being lag.

Edited by ohTONYoh: 2/8/2017 4:35:47 PMYear 1 VOG Hard mode was definetely hardest raid wise. Hard as in completion time would be Kings fall, just because the time it took to find a team smart enough and willing to stay to do Oryx and not mess up by the 4th wave was the hard part.

King's Fall, even though I've only done CE and VoG while I was overleveled for them. Especially Daughters of Oryx. This can go smoothly or it can be an aggravating slog if it insists on picking the less gifted jumpers. The raid is fun though. Yes, it requires way more team coordination than the others, but that great feeling of "I love it when a plan comes together" when you beat the Oryx challenge is one of my memorable Destiny moments. But the platforming is just over the top. It's everywhere. Swinging buckets, tombships, Great Wall of Dicks (okay, I admit this one is a fun troll though), that -blam!-ing cave with the central pillar, Daughters, Oryx... Enough already! If I wanted to play Super Mario Maker, well, I'd play Super Mario Maker. More explosions, less jumping around please.

Never played KF. Only played RoI raid a few times. Played VOG a few times also. Not sure how many. Enough to get a bunch of mythoclasts, fatebringer, praediths revenge, and the auto rifle and shotgun. Crota was the toughest for me. Crota seemed to glitch all the time. He wouldn't kneel, crap always going wrong, etc. When it was working it was fun and not too hard, but really how often did that happen lol.

4 RepliesVoG was the hardest, you simply didn't have the arsenal going into that raid at the time that every other raid after VoG did whether it was exotic or legendary. If you say KF is, so be it, but you didn't have a tether in VoG or stormcaller for that matter.

7 RepliesIs it safe to say that: VoG was hard because of the enemy leveling and how tough it was to level up. KF was hard because of mechanics, team work, and communication. Crota was hard [b]only[/b] if you tried to run it honest, no cheese, no sword jump, no ledge rockets. And Wrath was hard only in the first two weeks? But that for some reason people have trouble communicating on the fly? (Aksis 2, challenge.)

When VOG first came out it was the hardest bar none

VoG was the hardest one I did when I did it back in Y1, but KF is the hardest to find competent teammates for though.

Vog by far. Most people were under leveled and it was first raid in game so no one really had a clue what you were getting into.. All the others were cake after that.

Vault, No gear, new encounter, new mechanics teamwork needed. Everything else had more weapons in your arsenal to approach it with.
