Pretty much, I just need to know how much range Rangefinder actually gives you. People always say it's such a good perk because it gives you easy bonus range, but I'm not sure how much it actually gives

10% on all weapons but shotguns, which are 5%

A rangefinder could find range, if a rangefinder could find range! Lol not as catchy as the OG

1 Reply10% extra range from range stat on weapon, on fusion making it 10% faster I guess.

Between rangefinder and hidden hand these days I choose hidden hand, it used to be better.

From what I recall, how it works is that it increases zoom by 0.1 Which for all other weapons, reduces fall-off damage. The range stat is also supposed to falloff, effect bloom, initial accuracy, the distance that you have full aim assist, and projectile speed for Fusions specifically. I am not sure if Rangefinder actually effects all these factors.

They nerfed it pretty badly so right now it's actually not that great of a perk.

How much nightstalking could a nightstalker stalk if a nightstalker could night stalk?

10% on primaries and 5% on secondaries

Aprox. 7 spaghetti's.

Well rangefinder finds the range so it's variable.
-
It actually increases your zoom, which makes the 'cone' that your bullets go through marginally smaller. Its why it's so noticeable on HC, because boom makes the cone larger, but rangefinder can help reduce it.

It equals the amount that makes the equation true.

There was an actual statistic Bungie gave us in a weekly report a while back. I believe it increases zoom by 1.4%. In turn, stability and range are increased respectively.

I see a couple posts that look like they know what they are talking about saying 10 %. My understanding was that when they nerfed the piss out of shotguns at the end of year one they took rangefinder down from a 20% buff to a 5% buff. You might see if you can find patch notes from update 1.2. I think that is when it was nerfed.
