You shitlords can call it whatever you want and feel however you like on Australia Day, just don't take away my public holiday. That's the only part that matters. A free day off.

Start up a religion then. I think it should be a bit earlier in the year for the federation seeing how that's when Australia really became Australia

No, it's already at a good place in the year. The federation is 1st January, which interferes with New Year's Day. If anything, I'd move it into February just to space them out a little more. I don't give two shits about the reason for most public holidays. I just like not going to work.
