Explain why or why not? Im curious about what the community want's for the next game.
*Edit: instead of just exotics i changed it to anything, because i liked what all of you posted down in the comments. Their Good idea's, and am also interested in what else that you guys want them to bring back. For me i would want the last word to be in the next game. It might not be in the next game, but hopefully they make something similar to it. Its fun hip firing and gives off a western vibe when i use it. Im gonna miss it.
*Edit: This statement is nothing big, but for the next game the lore and story may change if we are going into the future or past. If it doesnt then everything may stay the same.
*Edit: I am sorry to those who think i should'nt have changed the title, but like i said in the first edit people were talking about other things then exotics and they were really good idea's. I believe it should stay the way it is right now, so it can include both exotics and other things from the game.
*Edit: now there's two things going on in the comments section. One, is that people from year 1 and 2 have spent a lot of hours upon hours on this game. I'm a year one player which means i put 3 years into this game! Two, is that those who either just started or are from year 2 want a restart or bring a few things over. Now I'm gonna leave this up to the votes and the comment section, but i just said this so everyone can see what their dealing with or what others ( or yourself) have been through in this game that leads to today.

Cosmetics like ghost shells and class items, but nothing else. A whole new game with little things to show how long or how dedicated you are would be perfect.
-
I think transmog would be great for destiny 2 with all the gear we have earned be able to look what we want and it would mean if they change all the perks and stats for destiny 2 which they probably will it will mean something to the players who have been there from year 1 to show off the gear we have earned to the new players and just to say they are the veterans of the game
-
For the fact that I don't feel like I just wasted 3 years of my life
-
Destiny needs a clean start. Everyone at the same level (level 1) with no weapons or armor. I'd be fine if my character transfers over, but only bring his emblems, shaders, ships. Otherwise everyone will continue to use their godrolls from Destiny 1, have a crazy amount of currency already built up, they'll just blast through the content and then complain. This isn't a dlc, it's a completely new game. I honestly can't think of any games that let you transfer everything over during sequels and while there might be some, what's the point of enjoying an entire new game if you focus on all the old rewards you got?

6 RepliesYes. Everything needs to carry over. Why? Because the game was sold,to us a a ten year deal. What we are playing now is supposed to be the base of everything to come. I saw posted earlier if this was cod, would you want your camos n what now to carry over or start with a new game? While that's a valid point, that is not what we were told destiny would be. I've got well over 1k hours in this game and if I have to leave that and everything I've earned behind next year for 'destiny 2', then I won't be joining those who stick around. Tbh the biggest thing that ever got me to look into destiny was this 10 year plan and what we were told would happen with the game. I hope they stick with that because I absolutely love this game, what it does great and everything it does terrible too.

even if you brought just one thing no matter what it was, it would make Destiny 2 the same as we have now. The game needs advancement to become better. I would gladly give up my favorites for something better.
-
As an early year 1 player, I'd like to start fresh. It would be enjoyable to have new items to grind for and look forward to.
-
I pretty much want a fresh start, but I would like an emblem that shows you were a D1 player. Not an elitist thing, just to identify other long time guardians.
-
Every character, with an option to edit their appearance, hair/tattoo/scars rewarding loyalty is the key.
-
Emblems. Shaders. Grimoire. Class Items. Ghosts. Weapon Ornaments if some weapons are staying.
-
TLW. because I don't know how to use any other primary.
I didn't vote just had to get that off of my back
-
I dont think people realize that the more old stuff the bring to Destiny 2, the less room then have for new stuff. Plus it limits any changes that can make to weapons. What if they want to add new perks on exchange for some of the ones we already have. It's a sequel, a fresh start
-
10 RepliesAs a guy with max grimoire who's literally completed everything, yes I'd like them to retain some of my hard work
-
Grimoire, gear... Everything

Edited by Inspectorfreely: 12/13/2016 4:45:37 AMA TTK refresh, except exotics get brought up.

Destiny 2 should be a massive DLC that expands on what has been released so far.
Inb4 hate.
My character, nothing else

Edited by Devasstator: 12/13/2016 3:19:56 AMShaders and emblems only. I don't understand why people are so fired up to keep grinding for and levelling up the exact same weapons every 6-12 months. It's a pointless treadmill. Destiny needs am overhaul if they really want to bring back old players gone for a long time and new people too. 30 million registered accounts a year ago (doesn't mean anything but it's best we have) and TTK only sold about 3.5M lifespan and the new collection didn't even sell 250K units. ROI numbers are estimated around 59.1M for Sept which is less than 1M copies sold. It's important to note that this is revenue (ROI is bungies best revenue to date because it was really was small and lazy outside the raid). They have BAD retention and given engagement time is critical to their KPI and metrics, they need to turn that around. Trust me. With COD on a serious decline and 3 developers now working on destiny 2, Activision is likely going to double down on getting 2 right to try and retain the leaving COD crowd with something different but similar.

2 RepliesI spent like 650ish hours in this game and I want a fresh start. The more grind= more content. If you are saying I want my stuff to transfer because it is less grind then you are playing the wrong game my friend
-
I want a new game with new weapons, armor, shaders, emblems, everything.
-
Atleast emblems and shaders. Thats "our work" thats "our legend" what we did, when we played...
-
Certainly not the incoherent story... Yuck...
-
Micro transactions
everybody loved it
-
Exotics should carry over. Or at least get a sick as -blam!- new look
-
I want my cosmetics at least. We who bought crap from micro transactions should be able to keep them. Also our consumables if there relevant to Destiny 2
-
Nah I want a fresh start
