Well I finally tried Infinite Warfare
The multiplayer is a god damn abomination. This multiplayer is the worst I've seen since Ghosts. It's only a hairs width better than Ghosts because Ghosts had way more NAT issues.
Seriously this shit makes me want to kill myself. It's straight up broken! People kill me without even hitting me, hit markers hardly show up for some reason so I waste a guy with over half a clip only to be killed in 3 hits by him. I'll shoot first and still die. This is a twitch shooter it's not supposed to work like that
the map design is horrendous! That ice map is so small and compact it's absolute CHAOS! I don't have time to -blam!-ing breath between firefights.
And how. In. The. -blam!-. Can a multi billion dollar franchise not have dedicated servers?! What year is this 2008? Every AAA shooter now has dedicated servers! Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Overwatch, Halo 5, DOOM, Gears of War 4, Battleborn, Rainbow 6, you -blam!-ing name it they have them. Activision needs to -blam!-ing put some effort into their garbage franchise before Battlefiekd and Titanfall completely kill them.
I got IW mainly for MW but I thought I'd try it out just to see if it was that bad and dear god it is horrible. One of the worst pvp experiences I've had

Not to mention IW is ruled by 3 guns; OSA (BAL Inferno with a noob tube) NV4 (AK-12 RIP with 30 rounds, and a variant that reduces you to negative recoil) KBAR (ASM-1 Speakeasy with more range) Meanwhile every shotgun in the game is unusably bad, the SMG's for the most part have the consistency of Hellen Keller's cake, the LMG's are meh at best, the other AR's are like the three mentioned but worse, the pistols are literally so bad that you need an epic variant to even be able to kill anybody with one, and the snipers can't scope in until after you're dead with the theee mentioned weapons at almost all ranges. They also lied about dedicated servers on console for 4+ years in a row now. [spoiler]I'm aware of the irony with my name and whatnot, but I had to rant.[/spoiler] CoD4 Remastered is basically the same thing but you are [b]required[/b] to run Juggernaut to stand a chance against snipers and AR's. They aren't doing weapon balanced on MW:R because people don't want to just get CoD4 on PC. PSA: CoD4 PC is still the best version of CoD4 /rant

2 RepliesThis is more or less my experience with the beta, which is why I never bought the game. I would absolutely LOVE to play MWR, but I refuse to buy IW. Activision is bound to release MWR individually eventually.

This was the first COD game that i didn't even knock out the campaign. I had played the beta and knew that multiplayer was a wash I wasn't going to buy it but I rented it in order to play campaign, traditionally I've really enjoyed them. I don't know if it was the fact I was coming fresh off titanfall or that the movement is really that bad, but it feels so much more sluggish than other games in the genre. I can even go back to Black Ops 1 and not feel like I'm running through quicksand. Not too mention Jon Snow in space sounds like he phoned it in more than Dinklebot. The game is hot garbo imo, more power to the people who like it, you folks have fun. But this is the game that officially killed COD for me.

22 RepliesI'd say go for mwr multiplayer then if you hate iw so much... gun game isn't too bad though... The campaign however... it's actually pretty good... it's decently long, at least somewhat likeable characters (Ethan really...) and then there's specialist difficulty... You unlock it after beating the campaign on any other difficulty. It's [i]really[/i] good. It makes IW the most realistic fps ever. You need to use health packs to recover, helmets to prevent headshots and suffocation. You take limb damage I.e. Get shot in the arm, you can only use your gun with one hand and it takes ages to reload. Get shot in the legs and you fall over. Oh And your gun can be shot out of your hands...

The whole empty clip then get instakilled has been around since... well as far as I can remember with them. It doesn't help with the fact that the system is per to per allowing some people to get an advantage if they party up with local players.
