Stop telling me how you think I should be playing.
I was playing some casual PvP today. I didn't want to put myself in loads of sweaty situations, just chill and blast some people using either my NLB or Elevating Vision.
I had one player, in a game, send me a lengthy series of voice messages filled with profanity and suggestions of how I should play the game.
I appreciate your opinion that I should "Stop being a filthy scrub and use a f*****g real primary like Clever Dragon" but to be frankly honest... I couldn't give a damn what YOU think I should use. I paid for this game, the same as you. I have every right to use whatever guns/setup I want without some sweaty douche bag, flying around with their Juggernaut/Twilight Garrison/Matador 64 with maxed out range, telling me what I should be running.
I didn't do particularly well, it's just that my play style countered theirs pretty well. I'm pretty hella average at Destiny. I wasn't pulling off any crazy snipes or massive long range kills with my fusion either. I just play the game and I get smack talk from people like this. I know not everyone is like this but it just riles me when the few are like this.
Some people in this community are such bloody elitists. Also, I doubt that you do work for Microsoft and you are going to "get my ass banned" through mass reporting with your friend.

NLB, fusions and hand cannons piss me off because I'm not good enough to master them so people killing me with them is like someone rubbing it in my face how much better they are than me. That said I never message anything to anyone. If it's in the game you can use it. I will just keep trying to git gud. [spoiler]or I will go to orbit[/spoiler]

Thats not great that. Just as bad in PvE sometimes like when I was in court of oryx months ago. It was the fanatic of crota. I was on my own and this fire team were there so I helped them out only for them to invite to there party berate me and tell me I was no use and told me to leave. Yet I was the one that killed the wizards , the adds and downed the fanatic. They were the ones that couldnt sword bare to finish it. Idiots if you ask me. Just some bad eggs I guess, since most other people are great. Even had thank you messages when I've supported some players.

A pal of mine got sent a message, after we won a Trials match, saying he should stop using a scrubby fusion rifle and use a 'real gun' like a shotgun/sniper. We lolled.

Theres so many stupid people (12 year olds) that run around using just matador i love my matador but atleast i can be honest and say 80% of my kills are with a primary not all these scrubs getting loads kills top the board with just primary's real players use everything the game has to offer and addapt to the situation

11 RepliesRunning strike with my dad and his boss.... I use triple tether, "use single tether!" BUT I ALWAYS MISS WITH THAT! I talk a lot, I'm annoying. I don't talk very much so they can focus, YOU NEED TO GIVE YOUR POSITION AND WHEN YOU SUPER AND HOW CLOSE YOU ARE TO SUPERING! It's really annoying.

I usually get positive messages from people when I use NLB/Binding Blaze but occasionally I'll have the tryhard TLW/matador message me, raging on me and I absolutely wipe them off the map.

Like the world, the Destiny community is full of a-holes. It is much easier to ignore A-holes in game than it is in real life. So use the tools at your disposal to do so. Unless of course you just get a kick out of the drama.

"Real Primary like Clever Dragon"? What is this guy, 12? Why the heck is bothered by you NOT using one of the most OP weapons in the game?! Also, save his gamertag, perhaps even record the conversation you guys had. Take a pic/vid of what he said, because once one of my friends had the same thing told to him: "I'm going to get you banned! My friends are going to mass report you!!!" A few days later Microsoft suspended my friend for "Communications Harassment" for a week. He called Microsoft and found out that they could not lift the ban. The most he could do was send the messages to Microsoft so they could act, but he deleted them. So just in case. Save the conversation...
